A small cabin in the forest with lots of nature sounds
It's a small place, but made a nice relaxing home base for my trip, and the price was right. I happened to run into the owner (you probably won't) and they were very pleasant and made me feel comfortable asking them for anything if I needed it. I think people who like camping would like this place, but if you're expecting something like a motel or hotel, look elsewhere - it really is in the woods and you will hear rain, roosters, birds, and all the great Hawaiian nature. A small town is 2 blocks away with gas and plenty of dining.
Quiet little cabin in the woods
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was great, and it has everything you need -- except a clothes line.
So sorry Stephanie. Forgot to show you where the clothes line is! Hope you can stay with us again.
Quiet and quaint
Great place to rest your head and get away. Very close to the shops of Hawi but far enough away to be remote.
Everything you need
Was a great, quiet, place to stay on a budget! I enjoyed the small space to be close! to my husband and then exploring the island all day.
The authentic Hawaii experience
What a great find. We wanted to stay in Hāwí because it has the feel of the islands. This cabin is a nice walking distance to town. Everything you need to cook with is there. There is ample storage for all your clothes and food. The bathroom is spacious and clean. We were welcomed with flowers and fruit and coffee for the first morning. Both the owner and care taker live on the large homestead and would be there if you needed them.
This quiet rustic retreat was perfect for my husband and I. It was clean and cozy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
