About the property

Recently extended and refurbished home close to beaches, shops and restaurants.

Our three bedroomed detached home is ideally situated in a quiet and secure Bonita Springs neighborhood close to everything the area has to offer. It benefits from a large corner plot and is surrounded by lots of mature palms that provide a relaxing environment in which to enjoy the large, south-facing and fully-screened pool area. Having recently been extended and renovated, our home provides a safe, quiet and luxurious place to unwind and spend time in the wonderful Florida sun.

The master bedroom and one of the guest bedrooms have queen-size beds with the other guest bedroom having twin beds. The master is en-suite and there is a second, guest, bathroom adjacent to the guest bedrooms. All bedroom and bathroom linens are of a high quality, which contributes to the overall feeling of luxury. The master bedroom benefits from a separate cable set-top box and flat screen TV.

The open-plan living space comprises a large galley style kitchen, which has been remodeled as part of the renovation to include contrasting quartz and butcher block counter tops, high-end appliances and all the equipment necessary to feel like a home away from home. There is a light and spacious family room, equipped with comfortable seating, lots of books and a large flat screen TV with sound bar. The dining area comfortably seats six and benefits from the views through the sliding patio doors to the Florida room. There is a separate, spacious laundry room with washer and dryer and plenty of room for doing the ironing!

There is a separate den with desk, 10Meg Ethernet broadband and a Wi-Fi printer, should you wish to catch up on work while staying in the sun! The den also has a home theater system with 60” Samsung smart LED TV, Blu-Ray player and 5.1 amp (all linked to the Internet via Ethernet cable for high-speed data transfer) and a 5.1 speaker system. The CenturyLink Prism cable system has 180 TV channels. The den is at the opposite end of the home from the bedrooms, so TV can be watched at decent volumes late into the night without disturbing other occupants! The home also benefits from 10 Meg Wi-Fi and free US long-distance calls. We have a few CDs and DVDs for those times you want to stay indoors but, given the property’s garden and pool area, we find those occasions to be few and far between!

The 30’ x 15’ heated pool is south-facing and is part of the fully enclosed, floodlit, 1700 square-foot lanai that is the jewel in the crown of our home and provides a safe area for dinning, entertaining or just chilling out. The 250 square-foot Florida room has an outdoor dining area that caters for six and Adirondack chairs so you can relax in the shade under the large, outdoor ceiling fans. There is an outdoor gas BBQ and enough loungers to ensure your every comfort is provided for. Outside the lanai, we have constrcuted a sunbathing deck to get your tan topped up, predominantly for use in the winter months when the sun is at its weakest.

Our house is strictly no smoking. We cannot accommodate pets or children under the age of ten.

About Eric Booker

We are UK nationals and had been renting properties in Florida for a quarter of a century before buying our own home in SW Florida. We know what is important to renters and have endeavoured to make sure our home has those welcomed comforts.

Why Eric Booker chose Bonita Springs

Ideally situated in a quiet and safe neighborhood and with easy access to all local amenities, including shops, restaurants and beaches. Close to both Naples and Fort Myers and all the added benefits those two areas bring. Good links to the road network being close to both US41 and I75. 30 minutes drive from Fort Myers International airport.

What makes this house unique

This house has an oversized lot, large south-facing lanai with 30' x 15' heated pool and is in a nice quiet community. The area is safe and secure to bike and walk around with sidewalks along all the roads.

Bonita Springs

  • 4 of 5

We loved the area of Bonita Springs. The house is 10 minutes from Interstate 75 so it's easy to get to anywhere. There are three big shopping areas within a 10 minute drive.. The house was very clean and set up perfectly with the furniture. The Lanai area and heated pool are great. The kitchen was well stocked with spices so made cooking much easier. There are two TV viewing areas, one being a separate theater room, which was enjoyed by all. The only drawbacks to the home, are that the two main bathrooms and one bedroom are small. In addition, there are no king beds, which is something we are use to . All in all, because we spend most of our time outside or in the TV room, we definitely would recommend this house.

We will be sorry to leave the beautiful Florida weather and this spacious home. Who'd believe you can sun and swim every day in February?! The house and pool are wonderful. The owners have thought of almost everything to make one's stay truly relaxing.

We enjoyed the area as well, ideally situated between Naples and Fort Myers - lots of museums, nature parks, beaches, restaurants, state parks. There is so much to see and do that one could be busy all day.

The property manager, Eric, was very kind and responsive when we experienced an electrical issue that affected the TV set up in the family room.

We really enjoyed the month of February in beautiful Bonita Springs and hope to be back.

Perfect Holiday Destination

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect place to stay for either a long or short vacation. The house is lovely, well equipped with everything you need and the pool area is fantastic - who needs the beach!

The house is so well placed for all the areas attractions, close to the beach, shopping, restaurants, cinemas, zoos, parks, but it's also in a nice quiet neighborhood so perfect for walking or cycling.

We particularly enjoyed going to Coconut Point which is just a 5-10 mins drive away with all its different shops, restaurants and cinema. Something to do whatever the weather.

Eric, the property manager, is very helpful and friendly.

We would certainly recommend this place to all our family and friends who want to stay in a lovely house, with a gorgeous pool and with perfect weather. We'll certainly be back.

Great Holiday in a loveloy quiet villa

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time in Bonita Springs. Loved the villa and spent many happy hours around the pool and patio suntrap.

We liked the quiet neighbourhood but also the fact that we are close to the local beaches and local restaurants.

We ate at Olive Garden, Outback, PF Changs and Senor Tequilas – all very good.

The villa was clean and very well equipped.

We spent a day on Sanibel, we had been here 22 years ago on our first visit to South East Florida. Great beaches and ate at the Bubble Room again. The Bubble Bread and desserts are particularly good. Only problem is the long queue to get off Sanibel in the evening.

Hope to return again soon. Thanks.

Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter, son-in-law and three small grandsons stayed at our "hometel" for nine nights beginning on March 26 . . . coining the phrase, "hometel" as we all did feel that it was like being at home rather than a hotel. There were many things we loved about this place, to mention a few: It was very clean being well maintained and had many comforts such as adequate space, rich linens, more than enough kitchen supplies, excellent appliances, adequate beds and a wonderful TV and cable system in the living room. Probably the highlight of the place was the pool and pool area, where we ate all our meals . . the only trouble being sometimes getting the grandsons out of the pool! The gas grill came in handy but would suggest having an extra tank available as we ran out of gas our first time using and needed to go and purchase another. It was wonderful to have a large, corner-lot area surrounded by palm trees - especially on Easter when the Easter bunny hid the eggs all around the yard. The quiet neighborhood was a good place for those morning walks also.

The location was ideal for us being only about 1/2 hour away from the Fort Myers airport and halfway between Fort Myers and Naples, both areas which we visited. There are so many sites to visit in the area including Sanibel Island, many beaches and the Everglades. We did these and more. We hope to return to this home next year if it is available.

Thanks to the manager, for making our stay a memorable one!

Off the beaten track, but close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

We chose this place because of its location halfway between Naples and Fort Myers and what a good decision that was. We were able to visit both places easily and more local to the house were shops, bars, restaurants, the beach, golf, tennis and pretty much anything else we wanted to do all within easy reach. It is a lovely house that has obviously just been re-furbished and all the towels, linens, equipment, etc. were new. The place was newly decorated and was very clean and comfortable.

With the house being in a very quiet neighbourhood, we were able to relax straightaway and felt at home very quickly. There are sidewalks all around the neighbourhood and so it was easy to take that morning stroll and chat to the full-time residents. Bonita Springs is part of ‘old’ Florida and is very quiet and safe and this place certainly reflected that.

The outside of this property is where it really scored (which is where we want to spend most of our time when we escape the cold of the UK!) as the pool area is extensive and fully caged. The pool itself is large and heated and was an ideal place for us to start each day (and we finished most of them there as well!). Also, the plot the property sits on seemed to be much larger than usual and the whole area is surrounded by different types of palm trees. This made for a very nice environment in which to sit by the pool and soak up the rays.

We had a great time and will definitely be going back to this place as it is one of the most enjoyable properties we have stayed at in our 20 years of visiting Florida. We also love the area with up-market Naples just a few miles away and the beaches at Barefoot and Delnor-Wiggins very close and seemingly never packed. We didn’t get chance to visit the Everglades, despite it just being down the road, but will be doing so next time. Also, we flew into Tampa and did the long drive down but next time we may try flying into Fort Myers International as it is only a 20-30 minute drive away.
