Absolutely love this place!
Im very thankful that Opal's Cottage exists. It was exactly what we needed to step away from our busy lives, reconnect with nature and rediscover our creative spirit. I highly reccomend this spot to anyone searching for quiet and peace.
We are pleased you found the cottage a quiet retreat from the world. We love to support families and friends who need some space to bring out their creativity and healing. We feel it is a special place to gather - close to town but miles away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. I can't wait to hear the music you and your group recorded during your visit.

Peaceful and beautiful view!
Beautiful view with all amenities! ! Plenty of room for a family. ..quiet location to get away from the hustle and bustle.
Thank you for staying at Opal's. The view is amazing. From the moment you turn into the drive way it does feel like a different world - but still close to Manistee. Glad you enjoyed your stay!
Peaceful, Clean, Views!
The process of renting this property has been the smoothest I've experienced, from payment to questions Marcia was incredibly quick and descriptive. You will be provided with loads of information upon booking. Super helpful!
The house pretty groovy older with retro furnishings, but every room including the bathrooms were super clean. The one thing that did bother me was an odor, perhaps being an older cabin it happens. The views are unreal, with humbling sunsets. Do not expect to launch a kayak/canoe from the yard as it is about a 70ft bluff, you can probably launch over at the Association beach if the Lake is calm enough. Bring your own fire pit, or there is one to use at the Association beach. If you can keep your devices put away long enough to take in nature, you will see many diff birds; humming, woodpecker, bluejay. Awesome!
Beach access from the property will vary by day with weather; rough water no beach, calm water lots of beach. I had a mix of both which I thought was pretty cool. You can access the beach from the Association as well. Prices will vary depending on the season of booking. Overall a peaceful, clean place to stay for a small or large group. You cannot beat the views, Thank you for the stay!
Amazing and relaxing
Had my bachelorette party there and it was perfect. I'm not among the young party crowd so it for just for what I needed. Would totally recommend this to anyone looking for time away
