About Doniel

Our first kiss was here in Birch Bay. Now, we are raising our kids here and sharing the blessings of the beach and all the wildlife with them. The cabin was our first home!

Doniel purchased this house in 2005

Why Doniel chose Birch Bay

We came to visit once and are forever captivated by it's beauty!

What makes this house unique

One of our favorite things to do is sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and watch the sunset.

Great little cottage and exactly as advertised!

  • 4 of 5

This is a great little cabin, not on the water, but only a short walk away. Birch Bay is a rocky beach with wonderful sunsets. The locals are friendly and provide a lot of amusing color to your experience. The folks at the local market can tell you anything you want to know...and CJ's restaurant will even provide blankets if the outside seating gets a little chilly. Keep your little pets on a leash and close to you as local legend has it that eagles can swoop down and fly away with them! Birch Bay appears to be a community in transition - many well established older mobile homes, but a significant development of larger new homes. Overall, the community appears to be up-and-coming, but still maintains a very local charm. If the cabin was on the water, I'd give it 5 stars, but it was charming and cozy and we'd do it again.

Cozy Cabin in a Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

We called this our cozy beach house! Upon arrival, our granddaughters (age 6 and 18 mths) went directly to the swings and play set. Beds were so comfy which made this "home away from home" a dream. The location was perfect for walks on the beach and enjoying the Labor Day celebrations in Birch Bay. We loved our short stay!

Disappointed

  • 3 of 5

The place was not clean upon arrival so we spent the first two hours cleaning. Floor needed a good scrub. Bath tub did not drain during shower but owner fixed it right away. Take toilet paper. We had 1 roll for our 5 days so we had to buy our own. We were a large family. The ice maker doesnt work even though the website says ice maker available. After we got everything done, we enjoyed our stay. Nice back yard with children swing set and playhouse. The pictures on the website are old and need to be updated. Owners are friendly and ready to help when called upon. They said they would refund our cleaning fee.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately this was the one time that I paid someone to clean the cabin for me and it did not happen to my expectations. We responded immediately to their many requests including a small amount of their hair plugging the drain. The toilet paper issue did not become a problem until the 4th day of their stay, if there was only one roll I would assume getting notification on the first day for a party of their size (12+ people). We refunded their cleaning fee and catered to their every need. The pictures of the website are up to date and the website does not promise an "ice maker".

Comfortable, clean, and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

This was the second visit for my family to the Cozy Cabin. It is a comfortable, well-equipped home and so close to the beach. Our boys loved riding their bikes in the quiet neighborhood and to the beach when they weren't playing in the yard. Comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, play structure and deck outside, and very helpful, responsive owner..it is our "go to" spot in Birch Bay.

FANTASTIC

  • 5 of 5

We were welcomed to a clean, wonderfully well stocked HOME. The Cozy Cabin was a fabulous setting for our reunion. It had been seven years since we were all together and what a place to reunite! All went well. We had great walks on the beach, fun foods, stimulating conversations, shared times plus a Fabulous Christmas. Since this was our first time VRBO'ing we had no idea what to expect, but what a fun experience it was. We look forward to doing this again.

Thank you very much for the Cozy Cabin Experience.
