Come across the walkway on to the front porch with five rocking chairs, open the door and the first thing you notice through the doors at the end of the family room is the view. The magnificent 180 degrees of layered blue mountains is exactly what you would hope to see in a mountain home. You will be drawn to pass through the great room on to the expansive upper deck to marvel at the view before you even begin to examine the house which is another wonderful experience. The house is in a gated community with easy winter access.
Main Floor Once back into the great room you will notice the 22 foot ceiling with tongue and groove southern pine. The centerpiece of the room is a floor to ceiling stacked stone fireplace with gas logs. In addition to the great room there are two bedrooms, dining room and kitchen on this floor. Like the great room the master bedroom also has a 20 foot ceiling with double doors going out to the deck. The expansive bathroom has two separate granite counter top sinks, a glass enclosed tile shower with two heads and a whirlpool tub. The other bedroom on this floor has beamed ceilings, a queen sized bed and its own bathroom, double sinks with a large shower. The dining room table seats eight and there are three bar stools at one of the two granite islands. This is a kitchen any chief would love to cook and entertain in. There is an abundance of counter space, and the well stocked kitchen has all the cookware, appliances, and serving pieces needed to prepare the finest of meals. There is additional seating for eight on the deck.
Upper Floor The upper floor has a beautiful bedroom with a king size bed. There is an antique desk in front of the dormer window with long range views should anyone need to do work on their computer. A sitting room in the loft with a spectacular expanse of view separates the second bedroom on this level where there are three twin beds with a kids motif.
Lower Level The lower level is also magnificent with 12 foot beamed ceilings with its own floor to ceiling stacked stone wood burning fireplace. The fifth bedroom which is on this floor has a queen sized bed and opens to the lower deck. The walk in closet houses a full size child's Crib. The large family room opens to its own private kitchen with coffee, dishwasher and refrigerator. There is a walk in wine cellar to store all the wine you have brought with you as well as a Jacuzzi hot tub to drink the wine with amazing views of the sun setting over the mountains.
Decks and porches. The house has over 1200 feet of deck and porch space to truly enjoy an outdoor experience. There is plenty of high quality furniture to eat and relax on. A gas grill is available and there is a large Jacuzzi hot tub to relax and gaze at the clear starlit nights. You can see the sun rise from the front deck and watch it set in the back of the house. The sunsets on the deck will always be my favorite spot at my home.
Our Holiday rates are slightly higher than posted and have a 3 day minimum. When possible, we offer a 1/2 day rate if you are interested in checking in early and checking out later in the day. The VRBO cancellation policy doesn't give you this option but in all the years of renting we have always been able to work it out so our guests do not forfeit their money. If I can't replace the guest time slot with another guest, I can usually give another date so your funds are not lost. To date - zero funds held.
