Guestbook comments from the owner

Your cozy little condo was perfect for our stay in NOLA! Thanks for letting us enjoy and we appreciated your reccomendation for the Royal House our first night - we ate outside on the balcony and it was memorable! We'd love to come back again now that we have some favorite places nearby. It was a great location in the French Quarter - we'll definitely recommend it to other.

Quiet, private oasis in the middle of it all. Slept so very well.

I came for a convention at the Marriott and this room was bigger and nicer than either King or Double Queen room at the Marriott or Sheraton my peers stayed at for more $ 3-4 blocks away. Easy access by cab from the airport. Cabs always waiting in front of the Omni Hotel/ Supreme Court building 1/2 block away. Ground level floor condo less than 50 yards from the street. Such a very quiet, private room once you got in.

The best Cajun meal I had in town was at the cooking demonstration at the New Orleans Cooking School right across the street! Johnny's Po' Boys just two doors down for shrimp and grits or chicken biscuit and gravy in the morning. VooDoo Makeup made and sold next door. Just a block from the trolley line along the Mississippi. Great shopping and history all around, although some of it a bit touristy. Reasonable walk or trolley ride to Frenchmen Street for great food and good music. 2-3 blocks from Jackson Square with Mule Drawn carriage rides around the town for a quick overview at the start of our trip. Cafe Du Monde close enough for Beignets and Cafe Au Lait any time of day. Audubon Museums and Aquarium within walking distance. Really a perfect location.

Jenny was prompt and responsive to anything I needed. Our room was safe, clean, well stocked with supplies, secure and private. Loved having a kitchen and fridge to enjoy leftovers. Really loved how sound proof the cement/ brick building and courtyard were to keep the sounds of the city out. The shutters kept the room nice and dark. Sometimes slept way too late as a result. :) Good vacation!

Opening the door of the main building out to the street was like opening the wardrobe door to Narnia. Such a difference between the quiet, cool, house and the street and city activity on the other side of the door.

My only complaint was my trouble finding really good food. There was a lot of high priced fried food all around. Had to really ask around to find good places to eat- most towards Esplanade and Frenchmen street or out of the French Quarter. Locals (especially restaurant staff and store keepers) were willing to share their honest favorite places to eat, when asked.

Thank you! See you again.

Cozy, cute, charming French Quarter digs.

  • 5 of 5

Jenny was helpful and responsive to our inquiries. The unit was lovely and situated in the absolutely most convenient location. Everything was in walking distance, and picking up a Lyft was super easy for drivers to find us. The air conditioning and ceiling fan was very nice to have during the warm days. The air conditioner is a bit loud, so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. The apartment had everything we needed! It was comfortable with two adults. More than that, and it would be pretty tight. We would stay here again. We felt like locals living here, and can't wait to do it again.

Great location! Walking distance to everything. Very clean and comfortable.

We had a great time staying here. We were within walking distance to everything! We parked at the lot across the street and were able to keep a close eye on our vehicle. I suggest the seafood omlet from Johnny's Poboys next door. Although, all of their food was awesome! This condo was very clean and the pictures were accurate to the discription. We would definitely stay again!

Fabulous condo in the heart of the French Quarter

  • 5 of 5

We fell in love with NOLA and will definitely be back! Jenny's condo was perfect for the two of us for the week. Pictures are accurate with how quaint and beautifully decorated the condo is. Location was ideal with being in the heart of the French Quarter. Everything was easy to access and after long days and nights out the unit was a wonderful, quiet place to unwind. Jenny was awesome to deal with. Highly recommend this VRBO to experience all that NOLA has to offer!

Wonderful!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this quaint home away from home while on spring break in New Orleans. It had so much character, was spotless, well decorated, and in the perfect location. From the brick floors to the adorable chandelier the decor was just right! I even posted pictures to our friends and everyone commented on how cute it was. We enjoyed waking up every day and exploring the city by walking everywhere! What an ideal location! It was quiet as could be in the condo and courtyard and then through the hall to the bustle of New Orleans. I loved that! Having Johnnie Po'Boys next door showed when my husband got on the scale upon our return. One morning we were lazy and he brought breakfast home for us (melt in your mouth blueberry pancakes!) Yum! The bed was a great use of space, although I will say a bit squeaky. I would have liked to have a Kuerig in the room as well, but there was a coffee pot provided so that was great. We did have an issue with parking. We brought a rental car and parked in front of the condo without noticing the VERY SMALL sign at the end of the street that said street cleaning on Tuesday. Well, as we were out doing our thing we came back to find it towed. An Uber ride and $321.00 later. . . I would suggest no car since finding parking was challenging!!! Our vacation was truly amazing though and I would recommend staying here to anyone. I hope to someday be back!

P.S. Wondering if I could get the name of the paint colors you used on the walls, trim, and ceiling. Loved them!

Perfect spot in the Quarter!

  • 4 of 5

Quaint. Quiet. Safe.

Enjoyed being VERY close to Jackson Square, Bourbon and Canal streets, due to my walking "inability" (I use a cane).

When traveling, I like to cook so I wish there were more kitchen utensils (spatula to flip eggs; sharp knife; colander; wooden spoon or slotted spoon), but we did manage. I brought homemade spaghetti sauce, so on Monday we had a nice spaghetti dinner with fresh bread and salad. I made muffins in the oven for dessert, but set off the smoke alarm (first time cooking with gas!).

We texted the owner for help in lowering the Murphy bed, and she responded immediately! She also checked on us after hearing of the drunk driver who ran into the crowd during Mardi Gras (very thoughtful!!).

I wish the jets in Jacuzzi worked to ease my old bones, but a hot bath was still okay!

The courtyard was relaxing for morning coffee and beignets!

I really enjoyed the presence of a spirit at this part of the Delpit House. I "played" with her/him by closing the shutters on the bathroom closet, and she/he would open them. We heard noises that we could not identify. When we left, I wished them well!

I recommend this condo for a great get-away!!!!

Thanks Jenny and Donnie for sharing your hidden Oasis!
