Guestbook comments from the owner

Such an amazing 2 weeks. Gathering 3 generations of familly. We were also able to share this lovely location with local chilhood friends who have been part of my life for 68 years and counting.

This beautiful seaside home provided everything we could ever need for a relaxing comfortable stay. Thank you for all the details such as sand toys for our toddlers, cleanup supplies, every possible kitchen item, and many more niceties.

This has been a bucket list dream vacation that has turned out better than I could have ever imagine. Thank You,

Nice but not what we'd hoped.

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our 4th of July holiday on the beach in Plymouth. The house is as pictured and was in good shape. It is in a residential neighborhood and comes with guidelines such as outside lights off at 9:30 and quiet outside after 10. There is a diagram of property lines posted and we accidentally went 5 feet onto the neighbors beach and were reprimanded by him even though he could hear us discussing that we had just realized it and were moving our things. We apologized very politely (we had seen the diagram so it was our mistake) but he still called our owner to complain and even lied about how many people we had staying at the property. He also told us that we could not even be in water in front of his house despite the fact that our beach was all rocks and boulders at low tide and his had the closest water. We felt like we were walking on eggshells all week and that he would call and make false complaints about us at any time.

This trip was our 5th VRBO house up and down the East Coast (Florida, NC, SC, Maryland.) Other renters may know what to expect from the Plymouth beach but for those who, like us, did not, it is unlike the other beaches we have been too. There is a stark difference between high and low tide. It is not just where the water comes up on the beach like we have experienced elsewhere. For large chunks of the day the water is so rocky (huge boulders) that swimming is not possible. In addition, the water is freezing cold...even the teens didn't want to swim. We really didn't see any swimmers all week except for those brave enough to do a quick dip and run back out to warm up. We should have researched this before booking. All in all, the house is as advertised, the Cape is beautiful, and the owner is great to work with. The beach at low tide and a neighbor who isn't happy about the fact that this house is being rented did put a damper on the week though.

Wonderful time!

This was a girls' long weekend away and it couldn't have been better. The house is spectacular, overlooking the ocean. The owner, Rebecca, was very helpful and pleasant to work with. The house has all kinds of "extras" right down to a notebook filled with information about the area. If you're looking for a house in a great location with plenty of room, this is it!

The neighborhood is family friendly, on a dead end road, great for privacy! This home is located on an environmentally protected bluff, and is fully furnished withall the appliances you'll need. We are a short drive to Plymouth Plantation, Plymouth Harbor, and for all you golfers, there are at least 8 golf courses in the Town of Plymouth. We are 10 minutes from Bourne, MA on Cape Cod.

Take advantage of local fishing excursion boats, private charter boats, whale watching, and other historical tours leaving Plymouth harbor daily.

Other areas to explore and enjoy include the city of Boston or Newport, Rhode Island, for a great day trip!
