Located just off of Bradenton Beach, this condo sits on Anna Maria Island, known for its "Old Florida" appeal and surrounded on all sides by the beautiful Gulf of Mexico waters and the well-known Sarasota Bay, offering glorious sunset views, right from your front porch!

Offering over 1,080 square feet this property is bright, clean and lovely - perfect for the relaxing getaway you're after. The fully-equipped kitchen opens up to the main room so you and your companions don't have to feel closed off when preparing your favorite meals and summer drinks!
The kitchen opens to a dining table and breakfast bar, with comfortably seating 6 and the main living area, where you can kick back and relax after a busy day out on the waters, with a flat-screen cable TV and DVD player. Just outside the living room is an enclosed lanai that feels really open and floods the room with gorgeous light.
The bedrooms, each with their own bathroom are decorated with bright, beach-themed accents and offer the space and comfortable beds needed for a good night's sleep. Each room has its own flat-screen TV as well.
Finally, the Runaway Bay condo community has a large heated pool that you and your guests will be able to access.
The view of the Sarasota Bay is visible from your condo lanai and MBR but if you want to actually get out to the waters, Bradenton Beach is just a 5-minute stroll away and provides striking blue waters and every water sport imaginable.
Enjoy access to the free Anna Maria Island trolley, which stops at the beaches, restaurants, shops, piers and, of course, Runaway Bay.
Bridge Street, just south of the home, is great for the shoppers in your group. A local favorite is the 'Bridge Tender Inn', right where Bridge Street meets the harbor. You can dine outside on the water or sit at the Tiki bar and take in the Florida sun and waters without the rush of every day life. The 'Gulf Drive Café' is also a favorite spot where you can have a personal tiki table overlooking the waters, and it's just a short walk down the beach!
The north end of the island is packed with great shops and dining options as well. It's especially lovely in the evening as the sun sets. The 'Waterfront' on the Tampa Bay side has great views of the city pier. If you're a fresh fish lover, don't miss the 'Rod & Reel Pier', an absolute gem, known for providing "A little bit of old Florida" and dynamite seafood.
If water sports aren't your thing, you will also find great hiking and biking options nearby. One of the best attractions by foot or bike is the Robinson Nature Preserve, offering impressive views and a quality Florida experience with nature. There are miles of paved trails through the swamps and estuaries - it's a welcome break if you've had enough beach time.

We are very active owners who strive to make our guests feel welcome and comfortable as if at home. We work closely with the on site Runaway Bay Staff and provide quick and easy access for our guests any time it is needed. No need to find out of town owners for support. We are right here and we have our list of favorite support folks if we need them.

We were very happy with Jim's condo! Jim is a pleasure to speak with. Everything we needed to make a comfortable stay was provided. Loved the beach umbrellas, towels and toys that were supplied and especially loved the beach caddy! It is a about a 5 minute walk to the beach so it was very much appreciated! Jim even stopped by to make sure things were working well and if there was anything we needed. Very nice man and a beautiful condo! We loved it!
Beautiful condo in a beautiful location
The condo at Run Away Bay met our needs in every way possible from the fully stocked kitchen, the comfortable beds, all the beach toys, cart, chairs and umbrellas to use at the beach which was a short walk that even my 4 year old grandson could easily manage.
I would definitely recommend this property.

Love, love, love this condo & location
I've stayed at many condos along the coast of Florida, this was by far the best equipped condo I've ever stayed at. The decor is lovely, there are lots of beach toys to play with & you are right across the street from the beach. The owner's were sure to anticipate our every need & even wrote a nice note & left a lovely bottle of wine. The location on AMI is great & we loved the Indian restaurant a quick 5 minute walk away. Go you will not be disappointed!

Gorgeous warm and inviting that sums up the condo
Excellent customer service from booking to arrival. The condo was extremely clean and well stocked. Location was fantastic for our family the balcony was a favorite spot for morning coffee and evening wine. The beach was easily accessible and not crowded. Across the street from the beach.
We Spent 3 beautiful weeks here. This unit was right across the street from the beach. Excellent location. Unit was equipped with everything you needed for a very pleasant stay in AMI. We Had a few issues that Jim the owner responded to right away. The only things I would suggest is maybe one of those Wonder Wheeler Carts to carry all the beach stuff to the beach and maybe a few newer pans for cooking.. (not a big fan of No-stick pans) The only drawback from our trip is how Crowed AMI has become, TRAFFIC! to many people here especially for Summer months. What we loved about being so close to the beach is: Any time you needed to run back to the apartment from the beach it only took a few minutes. Beach access is right across the street. Runaway bay complex is very well maintained and clean. I would recommend this unit for a very pleasant Vacation to AMI.
NOTE: A CAR IS NOT NECESSARY FOR "ON ISLAND" TRANSPORTATION SINCE WE HAVE A FREE TROLLY * Bridge Street is South from you about a mile. At the traffic circle turn left and find a place to park. You will find a number of unique shops. Try to be there for lunch - my favorite is the Bridge Tender Inn where Bridge Street meets the harbor. Sit outside on the water at a table on the shells or at the Tiki bar and listen to the waves lapping the beach while you enjoy a nice lunch. Very laid back. The Gulf Drive Café is 1/4 mile south on the Gulf of Mexico. You can have a personal tiki table overlooking the waves lapping on the beach. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and walk both ways. * At the North end of the island you will find Pine Ave. Turn right on Pine from Gulf Drive and go to the pier on the Tampa Bay side. Park and enjoy Pine Ave and the City Pier. Try to be there for dinner where you have two very different choices. The "Waterfront" is right near the pier and across the street from the Bay. Great food and a bit up scale (shorts way OK). The other option and one of our favs is the Rod & Reel Pier. It's North of the City Pier and out in Tampa Bay. Going North from Pine Ave hug the shore line and you will find it on your right in a mile or so. If fish is for you - don't miss it. * For Breakfast try Peaches. North from you about 3 miles. At the first traffic light you will see a strip shopping area on your left front or off your port bow as many of us would say. Peaches is in that strip. * Also, for Breakfast and Lunch try Sage Biscuit – go toward Bridge Street and turn left and cross the bridge. Sage Biscuit is 3-4 miles on the left – in the strip with the Anna Maria Oyster Bar. This one has become our favorite for Breakfast. * There are water sports galore - everywhere. * For hiking/biking try Robinsons Preserve. Go off island by turning right on Manatee Avenue after you pass that strip center with Peaches noted above. You will pass over the drawbridge and after passing a few resort communities you will see an entrance to Robinsons Preserve on your left. Parking is on the right. There are miles of paved trails through the swamps and estuaries to enjoy and ............. no bugs! You will find many brochures in the condo - just peruse. And remember we are a phone call and 10 minutes away - don't hesitate to call.
