E komo mai (welcome) to Kama’iki
Welcome to Kama’iki.
We would love to share our little home near the beach with you.
Kama’iki means small child, and Kama’iki is our small child. He sits on the property with two other houses. Kama’iki is the middle house, he is between a house on the road and a house on the beach.
He has a gazebo on his makai side (Oceanside), where you can feel and hear the tropical breezes, smell the ocean mists, and hear the crashing waves.
If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful, quiet vacation or just a place to rest and re-energize yourself, then this is it.
Kama’iki has just been remodeled. He has 2 bedrooms, one bath, a spacious living room, a brand new kitchen, and an outdoor gazebo with a BBQ area.
The beach is just steps away. Kama’iki does not share the beach front access, but if you walk out through the property entry gate, the public beach path is just one house away.
Ewa Beach is not a busy beach. You can take a walk for a mile and you might be the only person on the beach….or you could see a monk seal sunbathing.
We do have surfers, standup paddlers, and kayakers out in the ocean. In the afternoons you will see the local canoe club practicing, as they pass by.
The gazebo is a great place to BBQ, or have your morning coffee, or if you have to work…..you can bring it outside (we have wifi).
Kama’iki is in a neighborhood with full time residents. The neighbors are great, so friendly and accommodating. When you stay here, we hope that you will respect them, as they will respect you.
Thank you for considering Kama’iki as your vacation home.
We look forward to your stay.

I (Marlene) grew up here in Ewa Beach. This home that we want to share with you belonged to my Uncle Tony's family since the 1940's. We took over the property 11 years ago, but last year we decide we wanted to share our home. Ewa Beach is a secret little gem...really...a gem !!! Kamalani in Hawaiian means beloved child, and that she is.....Kama'iki mean small child, and Kama'iki is our small child.. We have been living in Seattle, Hilo and Ewa Beach all part time. Our property has two other homes. This is a gated property for the three houses. This is a quiet residential neighorhood and we all have respect for eachothers privacy and quiet enjoyment. Like I said above, Ewa Beach is a gem. Hope to see you soon.

Wonderful stay at this cozy home!
My family and I had such a great stay in this home. It's so spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. And it was such a cute property. Sissy was super accommodating, very nice and welcoming. Darla was great in answering all questions and making the booking process easy. We couldn't have had a better experience! Thank you all so much for making our vacation so great! We had a wonderful time and can't wait to stay there again!
Nice, modest house
My wife and I stayed a week for vacation, and then she went home and my co-worker moved in so we could work on a construction job. The house is great for both a vacation and as a 2 BDR alternative to a hotel, which are nearly nowhere to be found in Ewa/Kapolei. Darla and Sissy were helpful, even when we needed to extend our stay multiple times. Close to the beach without being on it, this modest little home worked just fine for us!
Our family had an awesome stay. House was clean and comfortable. Check in was an ease and welcome basket was a plus. A home away from home. Darla and Sissy was a pleasure to work with. They are so kind and helpful. Thank you so much for taking care of us. We really enjoyed our stay. I would definately stay here again.
home away from home
mom and I were there for 17 days and it was the best home away from home. The windows open with the trade winds coming through, the sun and the ocean. Its the best and most relaxing time. Darla and Sissy are the best in helping us and taking care of everything. It was the best thing for us and was just perfect.
Review on Kama'iki cottage
Wonderful. experience! The property was well located, 5 minutes from the beach.Well equipped, beds were clean and comfortable. It was hot,so we missed having the AC,but Sissy the manager provided us with extra fans.Sissy was just a phone call away ,she was quick to respond to our requests. She had a welcome gift for us as well a farewell gift. The backyard has a grill too.I strongly recommend the vacation rental for small family!
We are glad you had a great time. We did have an unusually hot summer last year. July August September. We now have AC in this place.
We do hope you will come again. Aloha!
Home away from home in Paradise
Where do we begin! We picked this particular hoem because we just needed 2 room, close to the beach, where we could relax! We made the best choice! Flew in from Texas on an 8hr flight. When we pulled up to the home, the wind was blowing and there was delightful Hawaiian music playing from inside. It felt like we walked into our home. Every day we spent lounging on the beach or BBQing with family in the back! Every night we thoroughly enjoyed listening to the waves crash on the beach and the cool breeze flowing through the home as we slept. Since we had our 3 year old with us we often took turns sleeping in both beds and they were so comfortable! We had the amazing opportunity to meet Sissy and her husband whom take care of the property and I have to say they took us in like family. We had everything we possibly needed to enjoy 2 weeks in paradise, kitchen came stocked (they had a blender and rice cooker). My husband loved having boogie boards and a cooler for us to use! Made our time on the beach even more exciting! I love the location because in Ewa we were only a short drive away from Waikiki, North Shore and the windward side of the island, yet we didn't have the headache of tons of delayed traffic. On Friday evening we sat on the beach and watched the fireworks! Cant thank Darla enough, she is always able to make sure everything is ready for your stay from start to finish! They have such an amazing way of making you feel like you are not only there to enjoy your vacation but make you feel like a part of their Ohana too! I can't say enough about this home! We hated leaving and can't wait to plan our trip back!
