Winter or summer, you really can't go wrong with the Mt Baker Birdhouse. About Beth Snowlee 360-927-5466

My wife and I live in Bellingham, she is a licensed Massage Therapist, beautiful skier and avid outdoor enthusiast. I am an Alaskan commercial fisher, skier, and enjoy the indoors more so than she. The cabin, for us, is a way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life (such as Bellingham may be). When we come to Glacier, it is the silence that enthralls us. No traffic, no sirens, no trains, just the wind in the trees, and the gurgle of the creek!

Beth Snowlee 360-927-5466 purchased this house in 2005

Why Beth Snowlee 360-927-5466 chose Glacier

The Birdhouse is so ideally situated. Of course Mt. Baker Ski Area is a huge draw for us, but we also love the summers, chalk full of Blueberries, wild flowers, chantrelle mushrooms, awe-inspiring views, the warm winds on cool days and the cool shade in the trees on hot days!

What makes this house unique

For larger parties, or better separation, we also rent THE JIM JACK SHACK vrbo 461023. Located behind the Mt. Baker Birdhouse and up the hill, The Jim Jack Shack is our newest creation. Totally different, equally as cool.

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a family ski trip with 2 kids aged 7 and 9 and it was a great place for that. The cabin had everything we needed. There was some videos for the kids to watch and the hot tub was great for after the ski runs.

A Most Memorable Christmas...

  • 5 of 5

My 20 year old daughter said "Dad best Christmas ever." The Birdhouse is cozy, perfect for those cold December nights. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare some great Holiday meals. We strung Christmas lights outside by the hot tub and enjoyed soaking while watching the snow fall. A perfect way to end the day after skiing Mt. Baker. Christmas Eve day we discovered the trails just north of the cabin in Snowline. A beautiful walk, trees covered in snow, and a path that lead us to the sites and sound of the Nooksack river. The Nest will always be a special place in all of our hearts... I would have to agree Molly "It was the best Christmas ever !"

Perfect place for a weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed two of Eli and Beth's properties and they are absolutely incredible little getaways in the North Cascades. Both have a beautiful design with amazing attention to detail that allows for a cozy (and entirely stress-free) environment. The host's are incredibly kind and make sure that all their guests feel comfortable in their temporary home away from home. They even went out of their way to return a lost item I had left at the cabin, for which I am very grateful. Thanks again Eli and Beth, we hope to be back soon enough.

Cute, private cabin with everything you need!

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved our two nights at the Birdhouse. We wish we could stay for longer! While we didn't make use of the pool, the hot tub was great! No catches, but good memories made at the fishing pond. Lots of bees on our walk around the neighbourhood but no stings. Great for families! Very quiet area. Locals in the shops were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
