About Donna Kalinske
I was raised in Tucson, but following college I left for NYC and LA, returning here in 2005 to care for my mother. It was then that I rediscovered my love for the Sonoran Desert and for Tucson. Having studied design at UCLA and having worked in design for many years I thoroughly enjoyed both renovating and furnishing my home. A am so grateful for having discovered this beautiful spot.
Donna Kalinske purchased this Townhome in 2005

What makes this Townhome unique
The home has spectacular views. It is calming and restful and surrounded by nature. It is a haven and a retreat yet within minutes of shops, restaurants and galleries and only 20 minutes to the University of Arizona, a Tucson jewel not to be missed. It is also only 2.6 miles to Sabino Canyon, a spectacular desert oasis for walking and hiking.

What a find. Centrally located to hiking trails and eating restaurants. Wonderful sunrises and sunsets.
Wonderful place to stay in Tuscon.
Donna has a lovely property overlooking the mountains and an easy drive into the city. Shopping is close by, with a great pizza place in the Safeway Plaza. Thanks
Foothills at its finest
Fantastic views of the Catalinas, lots of wildlife, very clean and comfortable home with an inviting patio. We would rent this again.
The unit was nicely decorated, and was very thoughtfully designed. Kitchen was well stocked, although some of the cookware was worn out. The first night, we noticed the master bathroom shower didn’t drain well so we ended up using the 2nd bathroom shower instead which wasn’t a big deal. Washing machine broke down while we tried to wash a load of towels. We reported it to the owner but it never did get fixed during the rest of our stay, nor did we have any update on it from the owner. The place just needs to be a bit better maintained. Otherwise, it is a great choice for its location.
I'm very sorry about the washing machine. I had to buy a new one and could not have it installed immediately because it was Easter weekend and you were departing the day after Easter.
The other problems have been taken care of but I wish you would have told me directely. They could have easily been resolved while you were there.
I hope you had fun during your stay.
Foothills Great views
My wife and I wanted a place close to our daughter and her family and to get away from the cold in the NE. This fit the bill perfectly. Super place to stay. Owner provided all needed items for an extended stay. Back yard nicely landscaped (see photo). Easy access to shopping, restaurants and a short trip to downtown..
Cell phone reception was spotty but that seems to be a problem in the foothills. WiFi much better.
Beautiful property and view.
Situated in a wonderful part of Tucson with spectacular views of the Catalinas. Very well-stocked kitchen. Great art on the walls. Donna is a very attentive owner who responds quickly to emails.
Secluded in the foothills yet only a 20 minutes drive on Campbell Ave. to the University of Arizona. Tucson is a university town with its energy, sports, museums, theatre, Andrew Weil, and the world recognized UA College of Science. If you don't want to go into the city, everything you need is close by. A beautiful open air shopping center, art galleries and a short walk to the landmark DeGrazia Gallery. More than a dozen restaurants are nearby including North, Firebirds, Acacia, El Charro's. Walking or hiking in Sabino Canyon or up the Finger Rock Trail, or the many miles of road and off road bike trails. Experience living in the desert with the Saguaro's, the animals, the 'light', the clean air, the smell of the creosote when it rains. Enjoy the desert from your living room.
There are four resorts nearby to visit for restaurants, golf, horseback riding. Ventana Canyon Resort, Westin La Paloma Resort, Westard Look Resort and Hacienda de Sol.
