So you’re planning your trip to Seattle, eh? Well, not to brag but you couldn't do much better than Bootleggers Hideaway. The large apartment has off-street parking and is also 2 blocks from all Seattle's public transportation you could possibly need with the advantage that you're still in a neighborhood. You can walk to Lake Washington in about 15 minutes by following Mt Baker Blvd to McClellan Park. Thanks to my wife, there is a drawing of the apartment in my photos so you can get an idea of the space.
I've tried to make my rental property what I look for in a place when traveling, clean, tidy, comfortable, reasonably priced, and fun.
I now only list on the VRBO partner sites because I like to be able to communicate with my guests directly before they pay and these websites are better to their hosts.
Bootleggers Hideaway is a 2 bedroom apartment. Here are the deets:

Experience a wonderful historic Seattle neighborhood! (And in my humble opinion the best neighborhood in the city—what can I say I’m biased)
The apartment is spacious and airy and gets great daylight. I strive to create a home-like atmosphere.
The apartment is close to everything but it's quiet at night. The neighborhood of Mt. Baker is very diverse, both in the people who live here and the activities available to you. I wasn’t kidding when I said this is my favorite neighborhood in Seattle. You can walk to Lake Washington, cycle all over the city from the apartment, access public transportation to nearly all of the city, there are restaurants and adorable Columbia City about 1 mile south (a decent walk to build your appetite should you be so inclined). Bootleggers Hideaway is about 5 blocks from the Mount Baker Community Club, a popular wedding venue- and where Daphne and I got married- we walked to our wedding!
Also, another feature of the neighborhood is that you’re just south of downtown, which means less traffic both getting into, and away from downtown or more congested areas of Seattle.
Bootleggers Hideaway was named in honor of the first owners of the property in the 20s. The Gatt brothers were bootleggers and owned a jazz club called the Monte Carlo in Pioneer Square. There’s a house history in each unit detailing the history of the property, neighborhood, and house. You’ll be two blocks from the Mt. Baker light rail station (the main reason I purchased this property) which will get you downtown to the in about 12 minutes, and to the airport in less than 25 min. You wouldn't need a car, but in addition to the parking spot in the driveway there is regulated zoned street parking.
QFC, Safeway, Starbucks, and cute Italian eatery, Mio Posto are all in easy walking distance.
Gorgeous trails and swimming at Lake Washington (Mt. Baker beach) also within walking distance.
No smoking. Wireless internet included.
Check in is 4pm, check out is at 11am.

The driveway is pretty steep and there is 1 step from the driveway into the apt. There's also 1 step from the living room to the hallway leading towards the bedrooms. I've hosted 2 guests in wheelchairs who were able to get up the driveway and into the apt with assistance. ...moreless

About the owner: I've been teaching yoga for 10 years and have my own studio located in Columbia City. It's called Tiger Lily Yoga. I'm a member of a nearby p-patch community garden and harvest many of my own veggies and medicinal herbs. I am also a writer studying memoir and creative essay. I enjoy cycling and outdoorsy stuff. I am gay and my wife and I live in the upper portion of the house.

The location couldn't be better. Close to I-5, I-90, Mt. Baker Light Rail Station, Mt. Baker Transit Station, Close to your family in the south end of Seattle, off-street parking, Safeway, QFC, PCC. You can take Light Rail to the stadiums for games, restaurants, Columbia City is 1 mile south, shopping, tourist sights, Lake Washington, Perfect location! Also, the apartment is big.
