|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Private entrance, private separate home with a clean and very quiet one bedroom cottage. We are minutes away from gorgeous Kailua beach and Kailua town. Please feel free to barbeque on the lanai while watching the paddler's, boaters, board surfers and more. Enjoy the sun and birds chirping in the morning on the lanai or in the evening with our beautiful moonrises. A kayak sail away to unbelievable gorgeous beaches. Lanikai, Kailua and Waimanalo.. Voted 'best' beaches in the world many times.
Please watch this beautiful video one of our dear tenants made for us. Clearly shows the beauty of this property.
We had the pleasure of Fran and his wife staying with us for over two plus months. They have returned often. Long time friendship is what we gained when we rented to them via VRBO.
Aloha and enjoy your stay in Hawaii. Wherever that shall be.
We are a retired couple always enjoying Oahu. Home-owner was born and raised on Oahu. He has lived in this lovely Kailua home for over 50 years. His Hawaiian knowledge comes from his family of many, many generations here on these beautiful Hawaiian Islands. Golf, fishing, scuba diving, hiking, knitting, gardening and reading are just a few of our many interests. Our back-yard is filled with interesting creatures from birds and hens (for fresh eggs) to sea-horses!
Relaxing. Quiet. Clean. Close-by ammenities and friendly.
Meeting new friends while relaxing and enjoying the 'good' life. This is truly a remarkable place to stay. We hope to share a true aloha spirit and leave you feeling relaxed and happy to return for another visit.
From the moment we walked into this place we felt right at home, or at least, like we had found our home away from home. The pastel colors are light and bright, and the overall décor of the cottage is simply beautiful. We could not have asked for a more peaceful setting, especially being so close to the beach. The canal is right out the back door and we had a lovely paddle in the kayak (provided by the owners) out to Kailua Beach. I had never been to the town of Kailua and it was absolutely delightful. It has a small town feel and there are some great places to eat or have coffee. Rhonda (the owner) was a great host/concierge always pointing us in the right direction and recommending the best places to go whenever we asked. This was a great choice for our honeymoon. We could not have asked for anything more.
My husband and I came from Vancouver, Canada. The place is gorgeous! The view is very beautiful and relaxing. We had our dinners cooked on BBQ on the deck overlooking the water. What else you can dream of? The suit has absolutely everything you need: dryer, straightener, soups, lotions, full kitchen with pots and cooking utensils. Rhonda, the owner, is a very nice and helpful person. She offered us to use her Kayak (there is one single and one double) and we went around the pond enjoying the mountain views. Kailua in general is the best place to stay in Oahu. It feels like you are in a luxury village. There is a Wholefoods 2 minutes drive from the place where you can either buy food to cook yourself or buy already cooked meals. The selection is great as usual for any Wholefoods. lots of organic choices. The near by beach (Kailua Beach Park) is great for any swimmers. It is very big and long. If you like kiteboarding then this is a beach you want to go.
I'll start with this....pictures do NOT do this place justice. The view is spectacular. The house was clean and HUGE. We had two couples, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The master bedroom was massive with a beautiful new japanese soaker tub and huge shower. The second bathroom was also nicely sized with a newly tiled shower. The other two guest bedrooms were nicely sized, and there were plenty of windows to enjoy the tradewinds. The kitchen was nicely sized and well stocked. We spend a lot of time on the massive lanai, enjoying the view in the morning and throughout the day. 5 minute drive to either Kailua beach or Lanikai beach, both incredible beaches. The house is also 5 minutes from multiple grocery and drug stores and restaurants. Our hosts were kind and generous, much like everyone in Kailua. One of the best experiences of my life. Highly recommended.
Fishing in the back-yard for tilapia, barracuda, puffer fish, crabs, oysters just to name a few. Recently we discovered sea horses live in our back-yard! There are kayak rental companies close by and from our back-yard to gorgeous Kailua beach is approximately 1/3 mile via the water. If you want a nice walk we are one mile to Kailua/Lanikai beach parks.
