Great experience

  • 5 of 5

We brought 2 teenage girls, three adults and a dog to your place and there was plenty of room for all to be comfortable. We enjoyed the stay there and proximity to the small store and the beach was great.

A quiet, relaxing weekend on the little lagoon

  • 5 of 5

The little lagoon rental was the perfect escape for the weekend. The house is located on a little creek off the lagoon and has a boat ramp and dock. I loved the swing under the house, it overlooks the water and is the perfect place to sit and unwind and watch the wildlife, etc. We docked the boat at the house and spent most the weekend on the boat in the lagoon fishing and going to the beach at the lagoon pass. We also fished off the dock at the house and caught croaker, jellyfish, piggy perch, and hermit crabs. My only suggestion would be to add lights at the dock for night fishing. The next door neighbor, Charles was very friendly and invited us over to his dock where we caught a huge speckled trout the last night of our stay.

The home is conveniently located close to great restaurants, such as The Steamer and Mikee's Seafood and there is a small grocery, Pier 33 within walking distance of the home.

The owner's were easily reached for questions about the property and provided quick feedback. The home was very clean and well-maintained and had all the amenities we needed....will definitely return for another stay soon.

Spacious, clean & so much fun 👍🙂

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome fun week we had. There were 8 of us and we had so much space. We weren't on top of each other at all. We enjoyed being on the lagoon for sure. Did a lot of fishing when we weren't at the beach. The walk to the beach was so easy & short also. We will definitely be looking to stay there again. The ONLY 2 things I wish were there were more mirrors in the bedrooms (we had 6 females trying to get ready at once lol) & that there were more bath towels in each bathroom. Other than that the place was clean, spacious & over all fantastic.

Rustic and relaxing!

This was a captains home and the hammocks in the back room could make you not want to go inside! Lol Great view on the peaceful lagoon. Better than just another condo to us. We will be back.

Charming Gulf Home

  • 5 of 5

Location is great, was very pleased with the house, it was very clean upon arrival and continued to have a wonderful clean fresh smell throughout the duration of our stay. Found everything we needed and the layout worked great, there are some beach toys located downstairs along with some beach chairs. The walk to the beach is short and was never a problem.

We caught crabs, redfish, trout, gafftop and plenty of piggy perch. Wish there was some underwater or some lights for fishing but we made due in the late evening with an underwater LED that we hooked up to a deep cycle battery. Neighbors were very pleasant as well as everyone in the area. For the guys wanting to fish, live shrimp under a cork is the key. Kids swam and kayaked off the back of the house without any problems. There is a rental place at the end of the canal called Ike's, you can walk up there and then kayak back to the house. We used the boat ramp every night to pull the kayaks out of the water and secure them under the house.

Tip: Tin Top is a restaurant that has became a tradition for us... It is located on County Rd #10 in the Bon Secor river basin. If you go past it you will dead end at the river, that is where all the fisheries are and a wonderful place to buy seafood you can take back to the house and cook. In case you are unaware... That is the key to a good vacation... Boil a pot of royal reds...or some crabs! Everyone tends to gather around and pick and eat! In Southern Louisiana we call that relaxing:-) can't say enough good things about this wonderful rental... Owner was wonderful!
