I own and personally maintain my condo at the only true resort on Anna Maria

UNIT 176 AT RUNAWAY BAY -This is a two bedroom/two bath ground floor condo at Runaway Bay located at 1801 Gulf Drive North Bradenton Beach Fl .

I am continually upgrading my condos to insure that my guests expectations are exceeded both in the accommodations and their overall experience on the island. The Runaway Bay Complex features 13 acres and the largest heated swimming pool on Anna Maria. Additionally we have tennis courts, recreation room, sauna, exercise equipment, shuffleboard court, Bocce court, fishing pier, and two private accesses to the beautiful white sandy beaches.

Bradenton Beach just across the street.

This resort was voted best resort by Bradenton Herold for the past two years and has been featured in many national publications. This is a wonderful year round destination full of onsite

The condo has free WiFi and unlimited calling in the USA and Canada.

About Michael Bartone

I took and early retirement from American Express Travel Service several years ago where I was a Global Director for Business Travel. Just prior to my retirement I had the opportunity to visit Anna Maria Island and immediately fell in love with its pristine beaches and old Florida charm. I purchased my first one bedroom condo and subsequently purchased 3 other condos all at Runaway Bay. I now own 1 one bedroom condos and 1 two bedroom condos at Runaway Bay.I have been blessed to be living on Anna Maria Island when I purchased a home 2 blocks from Runaway Bay. I pride myself in taking personal attention to the furnishings and amenities in my condos. I currently co own a meeting planning business, so I continue to be involved in many facets of the hospitality business. Throughout my career I have traveled all over the world and I have high exceptions of the accommodations that I stay in. I have these same expectations for all of my condos.

I was on the Board of Directors of Runaway Bay for 10 years until November 2016.

Most importantly I personally own and manage my units and it is not handled by an impersonal management company.

This is the only true resort on Anna Maria Island. The complex sits between the Gulf of Mexico and the Bay of Sarasota on the narrowest part of the island. The 13 acres are full of amenities and lush landscaping.

. I have tried to make our value proposition significantly different than many of the other properties on Anna Maria Island. Most importantly I am a full time resident of Anna Maria so I am available to assist all of my guests should they have any questions or special needs. Most of the properties on this island are serviced and maintained by property management companies which cannot provide the same level of individual attention to detail and servicing.

Runaway Bay Unit 176 is a wonderful condo! Great location and all the comforts of home!

We had an outstanding stay in unit 176. The condo is in a great location and very convenient to the beach. Michael has provided everything you need for a stay, including beach chairs, umbrellas, carts, etc. The beach is a quick walk across the road using a private access point. It was easy to find a place on the beach each day and this location never felt crowded. We also enjoyed walking the beach at night after dinner, typically hunting the crabs that run along the shore - lots of fun for the kids! While we spent the majority of our time across the street at the beach, we also used the pool daily. There are plenty of chairs to lay out on and the areas surrounding the pool are clean and well kept.

The kitchen is up to date and has all of the --appliances, pans/cookware, plates, glasses, etc that you will need for meals. The condo is well decorated and the beds and furniture are very comfortable.

Michael was quick to respond to any of our needs and does a nice job maintaining his property. His attention to detail and professionalism were greatly appreciated and made for a wonderful week. I would highly recommend renting this unit!

Outstanding condo in perfect location!

We just spent a perfect week on Anna Maria Island! This unit has it all! The location is great...2 minute walk from the clubhouse and pool, and a short walk across the street to the beach! There is a beach wagon/beach chairs/umbrellas in the lanai closet! The beds are comfortable. The kitchen has everything we needed including a blender for daiquiris, everything we needed to use the grill, and a hand mixer so my daughter could make chocolate chip cookies! The furniture is clean and comfortable. The bathrooms and kitchen are updated and modern. The parking space for the unit is right outside the door. There are plenty of chairs around the spacious swimming pool, including many in shaded areas. The Publix grocery store is a quick drive down the street, as well as many restaurants. We would stay here again in a heartbeat while visiting AMI!!

In addition to its excellent location of being steps to the Beach and Bay this apartment is equipped with anything I could have ever needed.Extra comforts and amenities include a truly fully furnished kitchen, comfortable beach gear and furnishings that exceed any condo that we have ever rented. The owner obviously pays impeccable attention to details.

Great location, beautiful property and beautiful condo

Our family of four greatly enjoyed our first trip to AMI. Not being familiar with the island, we were nervous about choosing a place to stay. We chose well! The condo was very comfortable for our family of four, particularly with the twin beds in the second bedroom. The condo was tastefully decorated and had all of the comforts of home. The proximity to the beach and restaurants was great. Just a quick walk across the street and you're on one of the prettiest beaches I've ever seen. It was wide with clean white sand, so many shells, and not at all crowded. Traveling from NY, having all of the beach gear available to us was a huge bonus! It was a great week!

Our weekly rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. Some other holidays or special events have surcharges. Minimum stay required 7 days.
An advance deposit of 25% of total is required on all reservations

All balances due 60 days prior to arrival
$300 processing fee will be charged on all cancellations.
Reservations canceled 60 days or less prior to arrival date will not receive a refund for bookings from May 1 to December 15,2017.
Reservations for Peak Season from December 16,2017 to April 30, 2018 the deposit is non refundable. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance.
