About Property Manager
A Massachusetts native who has caught the travel bug later in life, I have recently enjoyed trips to Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy and Russia. Next on my itinerary is Africa! Art and design are in my blood and both my house and garden reflect that. I'm never as happy as when I have an interior design project in the works or some other creative project. My friends often call me The Mayor, referencing the fact that I have a smile, a joke, or a comment for almost anyone I meet, whether it's at the local coffee shop, the gym, or the grocery store. I love travel and look forward to opening my home to fellow travelers.

Why Property Manager chose Jamaica Plain
Jamaica Plain is one of the most diverse and vibrant neighborhoods in Boston. A home to artists, social activists, young families, and long-established residents, it felt like a great place to put down roots. What makes this Apartment unique
I do architectural salvage for a living, which has allowed me to acquire a wealth of unique, unusual pieces from stained glass to mahogany doors. I have spent nearly two decades creating a home that is both functional and beautiful. Charming and beautiful
This upstairs unit is truly a beauty! All of the comforts of home, but with gorgeous antique furniture and stunning stained glass windows. Its proximity to the transit station makes the location excellent for getting around Boston without a car. It's an absolute win-win on all accounts! Hope to go back again sometime soon.
Impressive home away from home!
As a first time customer with HomeAway, I was bit nervous. Our stay at Diamond House was comfortable and clean. It's located close to the subway, which made traveling around Boston cheap, easy, and convenient. Louis offered us helpful tips and we were not disappointed with his advice. The neighborhood is diverse which was a great experience for all. The home is safe and secure. We were impressed that there was a safe provided so we could keep some our belongings secure. The stain glassed windows are spectacular and add to the unique character of Diamond House. I would visit again and recommend Diamond House for anyone looking to stay in the Boston area.
Fabulous Boston Oasis
Lovely and very comfortable for our stay in Jamaica Plain in August. Quiet neighborhood but still close to the T line into Boston center so a car is not necessary. We stayed only 4 days so didn't do much cooking but we appreciated the fact that the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you will ever need. Loved the nearby neighborhood restaurants. Owner Louis very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Beautiful place, great location, will return!
Even though we only spent 4 days at Diamond House 2, it felt like it was a week with everything that we were able to see and do in Boston. Those 4 days were busy but a much needed respite spent with family seeing the sites in the Boston area. The location of Diamond House 2 is fantastic, which is just a short walk to the Orange Line of the T. This was so convenient taking the T into Boston every day so that we didn't have to drive our car at all and worry about parking in the city. We were blessed that the previous renters left their train tickets for us to use since they still had more days left on their week long Charlie cards. We were going to purchase the weeklong Charlie cards ourselves when we got there with the intention of leaving them for the next renters. But, instead, we ended up being blessed and not having to purchase them! The place is beautifully decorated and very clean. There was even shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower, which was very thoughtful. There is an outside veranda with a table and chairs that is a very nice sitting area in the morning to have your coffee. Also, the owner Louis was wonderful, the perfect host! I am a super detail person and I had lots of questions. Louis was very patient with me and answered all my questions even before we arrived. I really appreciated the time he took answering my questions and making recommendations for sight seeing. We packed a lot of things into our 4 days so we often came home later in the evening. Louis always made sure that the place was cooled enough for us upon our return. Some must see things to do is whale watching at Boston Harbor Cruise on Long Wharf (saw lots of whales), going to the Italian section on the North End (Hanover St) taking a tour of Fenway Park and maybe take in a ball game there. We took the T to Fenway. It required switching from the Orange Line to I think the Blue Line and then Green Line to get there. But, it's doable and everyone is so nice and happy to help you out. There's a lot to see and do. One recommendation I would make is to bring comfortable walking shoes. Most of the walking areas are like a cobblestone and it's very hard on your feet if your just wearing sandals. So, wear something with cushion! Make sure to get some lemon Italian ice at the outside vendor either near the Aquarium or at Boston Commons; so delicious!
Gorgeous home and great location!
This place is a real gem(no pun intended)! We just spent a week there. Louis was really great and very helpful. The T (Boston subway) is just around the corner and made for easy travel into town. We were just minutes away from down town. The place was easy to access by car as well as we drove in and out of Boston from the north. Highly recommend this place! Boston too - it's a great town!!
Diamond House - Beautiful, clean, comfortable and convenient!
Louis Giovanella and his Diamond House are the real deal! If you are looking for a beautiful, clean, comfortable, convenient and affordable place to stay with a built-in tour guide then Diamond House is for you!
Diamond House is a traditional Boston Queen Anne style home with beautifully finished hardwood floors and interior design. Louis keeps the house immaculately clean. It is conveniently located in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston within a 5 minute (or less) walk to the Stoney Brook subway station (Orange line). We were able to make it downtown in about 18 minutes (Downtown Crossing) - 20 minutes (Haymarket - North End) via the subway.
After a long day of sight-seeing in historic Boston we were contacted by Louis who was offering to turn the air-conditioning on to cool the house down before we returned. What a host! We returned to a cool and comfortable home that was so much more relaxing than a hotel. The house was very quiet (well insulated) even though I saw regular pedestrian and vehicular traffic outside.
The kitchen was stocked with all necessary kitchen utensils for cooking and eating including a coffee grinder and coffee maker. The beautiful double-headed (traditional hand-held & overhead rain) shower was stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There were plenty of clean towels (wash, hand & bath) available.
Although we normally ate breakfast at the house and lunch and dinner downtown, we did eat breakfast at Ula Cafe (next to Sam Adams Brewery) which was excellent. There is also City Feed & Supply (sandwiches for lunch)(1 block past the Stoney Brook station) and Bella Luna (dinner - next to Ula Cafe) within a 5-minute walk of Diamond House. There is also Yachris Market on the corner of Amory & Boylston which is a great quick-stop for necessities on the way to and from the Stoney Brook subway station.
Since we were staying for 7-nights, on our first night we ordered groceries online from Whole Foods Market who delivered the next morning before 9:00 a.m. The first delivery is free when you sign up online.
Louis was always available if there were any questions or needs (toilet paper/paper towels) and made our stay in Boston very enjoyable. Anything that you think you would like to do or see - forget Siri - just ask Louis! We would definitely stay with Louis at Diamond House again. Thank you!
