No shoes, no shirt, no problem! “Las Ventanas at Red Snapper” is a duplex consisting of 2 units for a total of 5 bedrooms/3 full bathrooms. It is located less than a block from the serene and gorgeous sandy beaches of the Gulf. We welcome you to indulge in this tastefully decorated unit with modern interiors boasting a large private balcony area great for having meals or just taking a break. Each unit has all the amenities you would expect from your home away from home are offered, including stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, cookware, free Wi-Fi, and a washer/dryer. Need a little entertainment? In our spacious living area you can sit back and enjoy satellite TV and a DVD player.

Take a dip in the large private swimming pool located in the enclosed backyard.

After a day of fun in the sun, the upstairs unit comfortably sleeps 8 adults and the downstairs units sleeps 6 for a total of 14 persons. The upstairs master bedroom has a King size bed with a large closet, and private bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a dedicated closet space. The third bedroom is adjacent to the 2nd bedroom and has twin bunk beds perfect little ones. The 3rd bedroom also has a closet space. We also provide queen size inflatable mattress to accommodate extra guest.

The downstairs master bedroom has a queen size bed with closet. The second bedroom has a full/twin size bed with closet space. There is one large bathroom with access from the master bedroom and hallway. We also provide queen size inflatable mattress to accommodate extra guest.

If you’d like to take a break from cooking or just want a fun hang-out, there are several local pubs and eateries within walking distance including Boomerang Billy's Beach Bar and Grill and Amberjacks.

For your convenience, the Blue Marlin grocery store is just around the corner and is well stocked for your grocery and any other provisional needs. Getting around is easy with “The Wave”, SPI’s free shuttle service.

Our family is from the Valley so it was only natural for us to purchase a place of our own in South Padre Island.

Las Ventanas is our home away from home. My family enjoys coming to the Island to relax and have a good time. When we can't make it to the Duplex, we love renting it out to people who also want to enjoy all that South Padre Island has to offer.

What makes this house unique

The South Padre Island is a great place to enjoy the brown sugar beaches and beautiful turquoise water. Our place has the amenities and seclusion for a great vacation. Its also fun to enjoy the many activities in near by Brownsville and Harlingen.

Omg it was WONDERFUL!!

It has a really good home atmosphere, very close to the beach and the store! Property Manager is the BEST, whenever we had a problem she came in no time to fix it or help is out. And Luis, always answered his phone when I called and gave the best response even though he wasnt in SPI! Will book AGAIN!!

Nice size rooms but not enough eating utensils and glasses. Chairs and stools missing. Ok for 6 but

Not good for 10 to 14 people.

Pool was nice to have after all the trash was cleaned out and filter ran.

We had to wash the dishes before we could use them . Located next to grocery store which was convenient but noisy early in am.

We love the Island! People are friendly! Luis is very nice and responded quickly to the main concerns.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback. Sorry to hear of your inconveniences The duplex has five rooms and two air mattresses that will accommodate 14 people with double occupancy. The kitchen ware and chairs will easy be addressed. The pool is cleaned prior to each guest arrival but the Island can be a windy place and debris can make its way into the pool.

the house was as described, there was plenty of room and closet space. The pool was great.

The house is close enough to the beach maybe 5 min walk. In the mornings and evenings in June anyway the mosquitos are terrible so spray down before a walk on the beach. The grocery store next door was loud in the morning with deliverys but the convenience of it being close out weighed that to our family.

Great location, convenient

My friends and I stayed here during the week mid-May, and we enjoyed it for the most part. The house was clean and check-in/check-out was pretty easy. We enjoyed that it was next to the grocery store so if we needed to pick up anything, we could walk around the corner and grab little things. The beach is only about a 5 minute walk down the road with some great scenery along the way. The house itself has a lot of privacy from the other homes around it, so that was also very nice.

There were 11 of us total, so we had both the upstairs and downstairs portions rented out. There was plenty of room for people to relax and sleep (although a couple of people ended up on the couches). There was enough space for people to enjoy their stay without it being too crowded in the house. The stairs are located on the outside of the unit, which was strange to us, but not enough to affect our stay. I'm assuming it's for if two separate parties rent the spaces out.

A couple things we didn't like. The pool didn't seem to be well-treated, to the point where we were questioning when the last time was that chlorine tablets had been put in or the filtration system was checked; the first day we arrived, it was quite warm, not very refreshing (it does get quite a bit of sun all day, so this is a factor). There was also a film on top of the water, what looked to be sun screen? We skimmed out the leaves and debris as best we could, but the entirety of our stay, the water felt mucky, so we didn't spend too much time in the water.

The walls seem to also be paper thin; we could hear nearly everything that was happening in the next room, upstairs, downstairs, the bathroom, and even outside. It didn't make for a very restful trip. This bumped my score down a lot.

Overall, we loved the house itself, it's easy access to the beach and the grocery store. We didn't like the pool and the noise-level. Might look into another stay if we have a large group again go to South Padre in the future, but also checking other options.

Pool!

Good except we were only able to fit 11 or 12 comfortably. The rest had to sleep in sofa not sofabed.

Perfect for a family weekend getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean and well-maintained. We had plenty of room for everyone and having a full kitchen was so much more convenient than eating out. There were no issues during our stay and the owner was great with providing information prior to our arrival. I would highly recommend this property to families with kids looking for a nice, affordable place to stay during a family getaway. Also, it is located next to a grocery store and just down the street from a public beach access.
