Even better than represented!!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I chose to rent this property mainly due to the location, but when we stepped inside we realized it was truly perfect. It's better than the pictures could ever tell you. Read a few entries of the visitor log and you'll see what I mean. We're not ones for the golf course resort kind of places. The owner is very nice and the place is filled with all kinds of nice accents. Great feel to it. And the books of waterfalls and great hiking in the area was really handy. We didn't count on having that local info. We'll be back for sure!

Private and Beautiful Property

  • 4 of 5

If you love privacy this place is unbeatable. There are no neighbors. The location is ideal for state park hiking. The yard is large and has a half dozen picnic tables and a volleyball net. The building looks like a woodshed from the outside but is pleasantly comfortable on the inside. A king size bed would help. The bathtub clogs and needs to be plunged but it is after all a cabin. You will deal with ants and the occasional snake.

We saw three, two black and some species of sidewinder. Surprisingly the mosquitoes were not bad. I would definitely stay here again.

Definitely a Rustic Shack

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here recently for our honeymoon! When we first pulled up it was 10pm or so & we thought “Omgosh we’ve rented THIS?!” It literally looked like a dump when it was pitch black dark outside... when we opened the front door & walked in we were immediately in love with the place!! We really enjoyed our stay! The “shack” is roomy and cozy especially for a couple. Two of the rooms didn’t have doors so if you’re going as a family and are wanting privacy at night this is probably not the place for you; however, it was just the two of us so we didn’t mind. The bathroom is very roomy! I love a spacious bathroom! The only bad thing I have to say is the owner must have cut the grass the day we arrived so we tracked in wet, freshly cut, grass all weekend. No big deal we just had to sweep a lot. We really enjoyed our stay!!! Even saw a huge black bear as we were packing the truck up to head home!!!

Cozy!

  • 4 of 5

The owner was super friendly. The location was great. Very peaceful. This place would get 5 stars except for the single bed mattresses provided very little cushioning. I still slept just fine.
