Perfect spot for a large family

  • 5 of 5

We shared the house with another family and had a great week. There were 8 of us, 4 parents and 4 "kids" aged 17-22. Plenty of room. Nice spot on the water, with an association beach in front, shared by other homes in the neighborhood, plus the private dock. We had a boat and kept it on the dock for the week, very convenient. Also rented kayaks because there are great spots nearby for that - Mashpee River and up Shoestring Bay to Santuit River. Good location, quiet but convenient to lots of things. Sprout farm right around the corner for corn and other fresh produce. Several walking trails nearby, too. A+!

Large, well-kept family home well equipped for cooking and comfort needs.

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time there with our children and grandchildren. It was especially nice that we were able to arrange for nearby family to bring kayaks for our use, and the children made good use of the water access. It was disappointing that, though there is a beach area in front of the house, the silt beneath the water made it impossible to walk out to deep water for swimming and we still drove to a beach for that activity. The owners were gracious and helpful.

Perfect relaxation

  • 4 of 5

We have vacationed in Cape Cod for several years...... All in the Mashpee area...I have to say the pictures do not do it justice! The views are gorgeous! There were 3 families and 10 of us today! Everyone fit perfect, the room with the wooden picinic bench was perfect for our puzzle and game room for kids. I enjoyed my coffe every morning either on the private dock or screened in porch which is great at night too! We had kayakes but the only thing I would say is the water isn't really for swimming and very mucky being on the bay. Having a boat would've been perfect. I recommend this house!

Beautiful and well kept property.

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful spot for a quiet, relaxing vacation. This home was very clean and well kept and the owner was very responsive to our needs and questions. We have vacationed in Cape Cod many times, however, this experience was much different than those in the past. This home is tucked away in a quiet area (just what we were looking for) but it is close to golfing, beaches, the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, and other activities. Our kids had an amazing time and loved fishing and catching crabs. There is an amazing screened porch, of which we spent a lot of time using at night and in the morning. Next time, we will rent a boat though so we can access some of the beautiful beaches you can't easily get to by driving. We had a great time and I would highly recommend this house if you are seeking a quite, peaceful vacation!

Great rental

  • 5 of 5

Second time renting this home. It's a nice house on Popponesset Bay. Plenty of room for everyone. Enjoyed hanging out on the beach during the day or taking the boat out for a ride to the flats. We even took the boat across to Martha's Vineyard - it only took about 30 minutes! Enjoyed eating dinner on the screened-in porch. Mashpee Commons is so close by - perfect for shopping on cloudy or rainy days - fortunately for us we only had one rainy day!

Clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with our extended family for a week. The house is spacious with plenty room and all the amenities we needed. We brought our boat and kayaks and were able to spend a lot of time on the water. Really enjoyed the screened in porch and ate most of our meals out there. The outdoor shower is very convenient especially with children! Great location, quiet neighborhood, and would definitely consider renting again next year.
