Cabin was immaculate and cozy with it’s beautiful autumn lake views and warm and inviting fireplace. Home was newly decorated and very clean. Cindy Hampel was very accommodating and helpful. We would recommend Ruffin It and Little Saint Germain Lake as a great destination.
We're glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for a great review! We hope to see you again soon!

This was a wonderful place to stay!
This house was so nicely decorated. You felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, but you were literally minutes from town which was nice Incase we needed worms or any items. The lake was gorgeous and large! Our family had a wonderful time and caught lots of fish! It was nice to take a break and stop at a couple restaurants/bars on the lake! Everyone enjoyed themselves! Great for families. The only difficult part was the path getting from your cabin to the lake!
Hi Jamie - It was wonderful to host you and your family and we're so pleased you enjoyed the cabin! We hope to see you again soon!
All the best,
Keith & Cindy
Very nice cabin and quiet resort
The property is cozy and works well for a family of 4. We had the resort mostly to ourselves so the it was fun to sit on the beach, kayak, and relax. The lake water is clean and the little cove that comes up to the beach is great for kids who like to swim. The cabin is close enough to walk to downtown dining/snacks. There is a nice walking/bike riding path if you cross the main road. The property managers - Cindy and Keith are very pleasant and responsive. I'd give it 5 stars if the bedrooms were a touch bigger. Overall, we loved it!
We're pleased you enjoyed your stay with us! Thank you or for the kind feedback!
The rooms are typical of cabins built in this era in the region. This cabin was originally built in 1932, when we put the extension on we wanted to keep it consistent with the period and make sure it blends in with the rest of the resort.
We do have larger cabins at our main resort, if you're looking for something bigger in the future! We hope to see you again soon.
All the best,
Keith & Cindy
Clean, bright, modern decor and amenities in a north woods setting!
We were a group of five friends seeking a great getaway for an up north adventure. The cabin worked really well for us .. the three bedrooms provided plenty of space and privacy for the two couples and one single person making up our group. We appreciated having two full bathrooms as well, and each bathroom was very clean with up-to-date fixtures and finishes. The kitchen was top notch, with great appliances and granite countertops. It was spacious enough for two people to work in, and the cooks felt included in the action since the kitchen was open to the living / dining area and had a great view of the lake through the large living / dining area windows. There was seating for three at the kitchen island, plus a dining table for six. Large windows on three sides in the living / dining area brought in the light and view of woods and lake. The beach and docks area was great for wading, swimming and launching kayaks, and the resort's position in a quiet bay meant we could kayak out of the wind if need be. Overall a wonderful location and cabin - we would definitely book this spot again. Having said that - the only opportunities for improvement that we saw were adding reading lights above the beds, and adding one more comfortable chair in the living room. (We had to supplement with a folding deck chair when all five of us wanted to watch movies together.) And, the exterior deck space was a bit tight for five, but we made it work!
Hi - thank you for your kind review! We're glad you enjoyed the cabin, we have put a lot of work into it!
The furniture arrangement in the living room is a real challenge, but we will see what we can do about another chair. You'll also be pleased to know we are adding a much larger deck in the fall!
Hope to see you again next year!
Great cabin and great view!
We stayed late Sept. / Early Fall and had a great time. It was only 2 of us and it was nice and quiet. The fireplace is awesome and the views from the living area are great. Everything is nicely maintained and exactly what we expected. I will say the bedrooms are a bit cozy but the bathrooms are nice. The downstairs bathroom is a very nice size and secluded. We borrowed a row boat and had many nice voyages on the lake to fish and just take in the scenery. Lots of wildlife too. I saw deer 3 separate times. One walked right around the deck and corner of the house while I starred at it through the windows, coffee cup in hand. I'm sure they were the same set of deer but it was fun to see them in the middle of day. Nice neighbors as well. The beach looked nice and if we would have brought our 10 year old, he would have been down there all the time despite the cool early fall temps. I'm sure it's heavily used in the summer months. We'd highly recommend!
Fall stay at this property, the location and view of the water from this cabin are incredible. My favorite part of the trip was waking each morning and enjoying my coffee looking out over the lake.
The cabin is pretty much perfect. It's very tastefully decorated and incredibly clean.
We've stayed at several house keeping cabins in the Northwoods before and this is by far the best. It strikes a nice balance between cabin feel and contemporary comfort and design.
Cindy the manager, is very attentive and charismatic. She was very helpful during our stay.
We booked for next year!
