Why Mike and Debbie chose Florida South West

We love Punta Gorda with its warm breezes, tropical smells, friendly natives and did we mention Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf!! This is the perfect spot to enjoy the 'Margaritaville' state of mind and still close enough for family and friends visit. Our home is furnished for family, pets, and ease of cleaning, very much like homes on the Hawaiian Islands where we are from.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy coffee by the pool in the morning. Window shopping and dinning at Fisherman's Village. The old Florida feel of downtown Punta Gorda and the people relaxed with no one watching the time is priceless! The best spot finish off the day has to be the Riviera Oyster Bar Restaurant located at 5500 Deltona Dr Punta Gorda, FL 33950. We love the off the beaten location, the retro feel, the boats coming in on the river and dancing after dark!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We were so sad to leave it. The owners were so great to work with as well. The only reason I would not check the "tourists without a car box" is you would have to walk or ride the bikes that are provided. I'm sure for some people that would be great.

A beautiful poolside view of some amazing sunsets

This was my first experience renting a vacation home thru VRBO, and I am totally satisfied with the way everything worked out. The home was exactly as represented, the owners were pleasant to work with, and our stay in Punta Gorda was truly a wonderful experience. It's a nice home, in a great neighborhood, on a pretty canal, with lots of sidewalks for people who want to do some walking or biking. We enjoyed fishing in the canal, sitting in the lanai for coffee or lunch, viewing the sunsets, and biking to Ponce De Leon park.

Exactly as Described!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was exactly as described. Great pool, super location. Very, very clean. More than enough dishes, pots, pans for our stay, and we really made use of the grill. We rented a boat the entire time we were there and really appreciated the close proximity to open water. Mike was great to work with, returned our damage deposit promptly. Great neighborhood, it is among million dollar homes. Overall, this is the best deal we found and it really is a nice place, and a convenient location. Did I say clean? Very clean!

Perfect Location!

We vacationed in August, 2012. The location of this spacious home is perfect. Everything is convenient--Fisherman's Village, restaurants, grocery shopping, etc. Several beautiful beaches are close and easily accessible. The home has a large pool and lanai which we enjoyed daily. The private dock allowed us to lease a boat for the week to fish and explore nearby islands. The fishing was great! We were concerned about the "heat" of August, but the air conditioning made it comfortable at all times. The home is comfortable, cozy,and inviting. The owners could not have been more responsive to our questions and needs. We so enjoyed our time there, that we are returning in 2013.

Great place to stay-- also a great bargain!

We stayed at this home Feb-March. The home is spacious, clean, comfortable and well maintained. The neighbors are very nice, the location is great. The park and Fisherman's village are within biking distance. The landlords are also very nice. The pool is cleaned once a week, and the lawn is maintained. There are two bikes in the garage and a nice grill outside. If we were to say something negative, it would be that the home is under priced for monthly rentals in the area. A great bargain!

Loved it!

After a long flight from California, I arrived at a typical Floridian home in Punta Gorda. I found it to be clean and ready for me. Lots of room, two full bedrooms and one study that can be used as a third bedroom. And, if necessary we could also sleep on the couch in the living room. This house is in a very nice neighborhood in Punta Gorda, with a great yard and pool. Was very comfortable especially nice to sip coffee in the morning outside in the back close to the canal and pool. Has a nice beachy feel. Can't wait to go back!! The owners are very easy to reach and very responsive to all my needs. Close to everything, but still off the beaten path. Don't miss this one....
