About Jamie Breck
I am the original owner and decorated it myself. I am in the Travel Industry and understand what travelers are looking for in accommodations.
Why Jamie Breck chose Kohala Coast
Mauna Lani is the only resort area I would own a home. It's upscale and has the added bonus of the Beach Club.

Vrbo Bear Stay review
Well equipped, delightful place to stay. Host is attentive, and thoughtful.
Great place to stay at Mauna Lani
Beautiful location on the golf course and a great view of the mountain. Everything was clean and in wonderful shape.
Beautifully finished home with everything you might need.
We loved staying here. We spent our mornings having coffee and our evenings having cocktails on the beautiful lanai. Having the barbecue also on the lanai was an added bonus.
I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. The lanai is a perfect spot to watch the sunrise and set!
Everything we needed and wanted
The unit is in Mauna Lani which is quiet and provides beautiful grounds with a pool and access to an amazing beach. The condo is beautifully decorated in Hawaii style with all amenities we could have asked for. Beach equipment such as chairs, towels, boogie boards, backpacks, umbrellas and coolers were there for use which came in very handy. Loved our stay at this unit.
Big Island home base
We had 8 days at this property. It is a well-appointed, stocked like a pro in the kitchen, had comfy seating and bedding, and was lovingly and tastefully decorated with original art.
Located in a quiet out of the way area of the Mauna Lani property, it sits on the golf course at one of the holes, but we rarely saw golfers and the pin placement was always sited so golfers weren’t peering into our space.
Size was fine, though we prefer an up/downstairs layout, and we could have used a Queen in the twin/twin room. Master suite super roomy and plenty of drawers. Overall, The three of us were never on top of each other, and there was room in the kitchen to share duties. The baths are big, there is a stacked laundry area in the dining room, and the tv area is large enough and comfy. Excellent audio visual set up. If you had more than 3 people it might get a little too cozy. Nice big grill outside.
We had a few minor repair requests of the owner and she responded quickly and fully. She had a guy who knew how to deal with things and we never knew he was there - except things were fixed. These items where nothing that would ruin the trip (just stuff that needs occasional maintenance like any home does). We appreciated that Jamie (owner) was so responsive — both by email and txt she was always accessible and always followed up.
The relaxing pool and decently equipped gym were great, and very close to our door , as was access to the private Beach Club — which you get a gate card to use when you rent here. Easy walk/drive tothe public (but limited parking) Black Beach that can be reached by entering the next community over — just check in with the gate personnel (because it’s in an exclusive neighborhood — worth it just for the walk through to see the houses!). The location made for excellent nearby morning walks, runs and access to both the grocery/etc at the Mauna Lani entrance, and out to the main highway to explore elsewhere. Play things available in the garage — from bikes to snorkel gear to coolers. Big notebook inside holds a lot of information on eating, touring, etc.
Definitely would recommend this condo!
I really appreciate your detailed review. Thank you so much for taking the time to write it.
Lovely Condo, Gorgeous Mountain View
We loved our stay. The condo is lovely and very comfortable and Jamie is great to work with. We were really pleased with the lanai view: renting on a golf course, we didn't expect much to look out at. In reality, the only evidence that you're on a golf course is a bit of a flag peeking over a rise of grass and lava about 10 feet from the edge of the lanai. The actual view is a vista of palm trees and colored land stretching all the way to Mauna Kea. It's really gorgeous.
One caveat for people with arthritic or weak knees: the toilets are really really low and there are no hand rails to grab onto. This was a problem for me. Other than that I recommend this property whole heartedly!
Other Activities: night dives with manta rays
Golf: There are 2 courses at Mauna Lani. The North and South Championship course. There are several other coures within driving distance. There is an activity book in my unit. You will find a list of courses and a lot of other great things to do on the island.
