About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Cute, homey and just inside the city limits of the small western town of Sheridan, this cabin is perfect for 1 to 4 people. At the foot of the Tobacco Root Mountains and surrounded by numerous additional mountain ranges, this area is an outdoor enthusiast's playground as well as a fishermen's paradise.

Rich with history and western tradition, the community known as the 'Ruby Valley', sits in the heart of trophy trout waters. The Ruby, Big Hole, Beaverhead and Jefferson Rivers are in your backyard as well as local spring creeks, lakes and mountain streams. The Madison River, another 'fisherman destination' is an easy and scenic 1/2 hour drive away. Well known guiding and shuttle services are available. Fly shops, a diverse collection of eateries, bakeries, caterers and shops, plus two highly respected fly rod manufacturing companies are all within walking distance or driving minutes.

If you like cozy and comfortable and don't want to bunk with the whole crew, then this is the place for you. Nice bedroom with one queen and two twin beds, small bathroom, comfy living and dining area and fully stocked kitchen. Pet and child friendly, the backyard is the place to BBQ, play with your pup and have your morning coffee before setting out on a day of fishing, hiking, sight seeing or any of the many other readily available activities.

Great Little Escape.

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was the perfect place for us to unwind for a few days. We took a few hikes up Mill Creek and down to the new brewery, Ruby Valley Brews. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and nothing you don't need. We spent hours in the chairs in the lawn reading books and watching the deer, turkeys, and birds come and go. Gretchen was accommodating at every turn, and we are already plotting another time to come back.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the nice review! We love going there to relax and unwind too. It's just such a relaxing, cozy place and so many places to walk, hike and explore. We haven't even gotten to the new brewery yet -- guess we better go up and check it out! Hope you got a chance to try the 'Shovel and Spoon' also -- awesome healthy home cooked meals and baked goods. THANK YOU

Cozy, clean, and larger than I expected.

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is situated in Sheridan on a quiet street. There are plenty of amenities in and around town to meet most creature comforts. The cabin was bigger than we expected. We were very pleased with all the kitchen and living arrangements provided. This is a great get away for a family or a couple. Great fishing, remarkably friendly people in town. I hope to return.

We had a great stay at the cabin. It was perfect for our visit to the area.

The cabin was just as described. We cooked a fair bit and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed watching turkeys and deer in the yard. We would absolutley stay here again. Thanks so much.

Cozy and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The minute you walk in to the cabin it feels like you have been transported back in time. The decor is antique and vintage yet comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is available. I loved the bedroom, it reminded me of being at the lakes in Minnesota as a kid where we slept in the covered porch of the lake cabin. This was our 20th anniversary celebration and we couldn't have chosen a better place!

Sheridan log cabin

  • 5 of 5

Was extremely impressed with how the cabin was decorated and equipped with every thing you could possibly need. The cabin was well heated and the neigborhood was very quiet. The house next door had a dog but they keep it inside so it never bothered us. Wold highly recommend the cabin as a great getaway.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice review John. Really appreciate it! Lucy is the small female German shepherd next door. She's a sweetheart and loves to be greeted, pet and given a treat. I will put a supply of treats in the cabin for you to have handy for her. Wish I had thought of that earlier! Thanks again and have a lovely winter.
