Private Villa, 4 Bedroom, 2 Baths, Sleeps 10
About Renee Rybarczyk
We do everything we can to make Casa Ladera a beautiful, comfortable home away from home, and we know you'll love it. We live in Vieques for part of the year, and are very close by in case any need arises. When we're not there, our good friend and property manager is always on call. Come on down and stay with us, and see why Casa Ladera has been one of the most well-loved places to stay in Vieques for almost ten years!
Renee Rybarczyk purchased this Villa in 2004
Why Renee Rybarczyk chose Florida
Vieques is a special, magical place, with the most beautiful beaches I've seen in all my world travels. It's a tiny island that feels about a million miles from San Juan, and really needs to be experienced to be believed. The perfect palm-fringed white sand beaches, the wild horses roaming around every corner, and the lovely, laid-back island atmosphere, plus some excellent restaurants and fun little beach bars... what's not to love!
What makes this Villa unique
Casa Ladera boasts a huge beautiful pool, and is just 100 feet (one minute walk) to a secluded beach where you can swim, snorkel, and collect sea glass. The property is bursting with fruit trees, including mangos, bananas, limes, papaya and canepas. Or if you prefer to buy your own fruit, we're just a one-minute drive to the island's largest supermarket! We offer free wireless high-speed internet, A/C in every room, satellite TV with all premium channels, full kitchens including dishwasher and microwave, and more. For beach time, we provide beach chairs, towels and coolers. Pretty much everything you could need for a perfect vacation!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
Clean, well stocked, great location, can't say enough!
Beautiful property! Awesome pool with gas grills, bar area, fridge. We stayed in 4 bedroom house. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, beach towels, great beach chairs and toys, coolers. Everything was in great working order and clean! Will return!!
We were looking for a pretty place to get away to for peace and relaxation and Casa Ladera delivered. We were fortunate to have the whole property to ourselves, and took advantage of the beach just a few steps away. We were very comfortable in the Villa- plenty of space for 5 adults and a child to enjoy both privacy and time together. It was helpful that beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler and toys were available- made for very enjoyable beach days. Everyone involved in booking and staying at Casa Ladera was so pleasant to speak with- they really helped us have the trip we were looking forward to.
Just an FYI for those planning to visit: T-Mobile customers did not have any cell service on the property and certain areas of Vieques. Not at all a reflection of the property, just good to know in advance.
Wonderful stay and was treated to lots of insider information
Loved the house and the pool, Marc and Hannah got us settled and helped us have a great time during our first visit to Vieques. We will be back. Loved that the house had all we needed and more. The beach chairs were a great addition. Thank you
The Best Way to Enjoy Vieques.
The location couldn't be more convenient. Everything about our stay was easy and lovely.
WELL KEPT PROPERTY HAS PROBLEM KEEPING NEIGHBORHOOD DOG OUT
The Villa was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen appliances were in working order and modern. The pool was very nice and well maintained although it needs to be refurbished soon for the floor is coming off in jagged pieces one steps on as one is in it. Many inflatables for kids and adults to enjoy! The BBQs were fairly new and very efficient. We enjoyed them very much. The one major problem we experienced and what makes this review a 3-star is that there was a collared but untagged pitbull dog which kept getting into the property and the manager was incapable (and unwilling) to stop him. We were a group of 13 and we rented two of the units. The dog issue divided us into 2 camps, for and against. Some in the group had been bitten before by dogs and were scared on a constant basis, thus the others had to go outside first and make sure the dog was not around or to distract him so they could go where they needed to. The dog, thank God, was not violent but it was very insistent in remaining near the pool and BBQ area so that we, as a group, could not eat nor enjoy the pool without fear of the dog. At one point it even lapped up water from the pool, so some of our group chose to just not use the facility. When we asked for the manager's help all she said was that she could do nothing because it was not her dog and that it was the culture of the island to leave dogs uncared for!! We found those reasons to be but excuses and firmly believe they can do a better job of securing their perimeter so that the neighborhood dogs do not get in (specially as the dog never went in by the front gates but rather through the side fencing).
Property is lovely. The manager is awesome! Highly recommended! I will return for sure!
Property and the manager are out of this world! This place is difficult to beat.
Vieques island is only eight miles off the coast of mainland Puerto Rico, but in many ways it feels a world away. It's a beautiful, lush island with an endless selection of secluded and often empty beaches, each with soft white sand and warm turquoise water. Vieques offers charming cafes, restaurants and bars for all tastes and budgets, and a number of fine dining options as well. The main town in Vieques, Isabel Segunda, is colorful and bustling, and the smaller town on the south side, Esperanza, boasts a lively strip of cafes and bars. There are also a few grocery stores where you'll find food and supplies to cook meals in your own kitchen.
In addition to lounging on a beach, you can enjoy incredible snorkeling and diving, kayaking and sailing, fishing, cycling, yoga, massage, and of course the famous bio luminescent bay where you'll witness the beauty and magic of a lagoon glowing in the darkness.
Casa Ladera is located about halfway between the Vieques airport (VQS) and the main town of Isabel Segunda where the ferry comes in. The island's largest supermarket, Supermercado Morales, is just up the street, a one-minute drive or five-minute walk from Casa Ladera.
We are just a short drive to the island's best restaurants, shops and bars. It's a one-minute walk to a lovely secluded beach, known as Sea Glass Beach (or Playa Cofi by the locals) and you're just a few minutes' drive from the famous Vieques beaches which are all on beautiful undeveloped and unspoiled land.
Casa Ladera has the perfect location - close enough to everything important, but quiet and secluded enough to feel like you're away from it all.
