About the property

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms sleeps 8 - 10 (8 adults plus 2 children)

When we walked into this cabin we fell in love with the all-wood interior. It had the feel of a true vacation cabin where we could leave it all behind. We hope you feel it too.

This charming cabin has 4 full bedrooms; two of them downstairs, and two spacious bedrooms upstairs. There is plenty of closet space in each room, and in the downstairs hallway.

There are beds for eight, and 2 adult size camping cot; so effectively 10 people can comfortably sleep in this cabin.

Forced-air heating though-out, with vents in all rooms, keeps everybody warm in the winter.

An open room with a 55" smart HD TV with a Bluetooth compatible soundbar, dining area, and a kitchen, all come together to keep your group connected. Wood burning fireplace insert provides all of the atmosphere you want with plenty of wood provided.

Also, a 1905 Chickering & Sons piano beckons piano-players to lead the group in sing-alongs...'Those Were the Days'.

The backyard is all fenced so little ones can be comfortably left outside.

There is also a new addition of a full-size arcade bowling game for everyone in the family to play. Take no quarters as it's set for FREE PLAY.

Beautiful Lake Tahoe is just a little over a mile behind you with all it has to offer. Stateline Casinos are about 6 miles away with their night-life and fine dining.

Heavenly Valley gondolas are closer yet.

All of the rest of Tahoe and its surroundings are at your feet.

Use this cabin as group / family-value vacation, or as a private weekend get-away for just the two of you.

We want to offer a tremendous value for all and hope you enjoy your stay.

We also want to develop a core group of vacationers who will want to come back year after year and enjoy all the area has to offer.

About Sharon & Lloyd

We are just a couple who managed to find this cabin and we plan on using it regularly along with our family of grown kids. The goal of renting it some of the time is simply to offset the costs associated with utilities and maintenance over the course of a year.

Sharon & Lloyd purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Sharon & Lloyd chose Tallac Village

We love the area and this is an ideal location in a great neighborhood. There is a heatlhy mix of vacation homes and live-in locals who are great resources for non-touristy ideas and local places to discover.

What makes this cabin unique

While staying here you can enjoy the simple joys of being away from it all while being close-enough to grab a local coffee, or a Starbucks at the 'Y', where you also can re-load on groceries at Raley's or buy a raft at K Mart. You can get that movie you've been wanting to watch, or catch-up on your writing at the built-in desk in the Master Bedroom.

Lovely Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time here and really appreciate that Sharon & Lloyd shared their cozy cabin with us. It has great space. Two large rooms upstairs and two decent sized rooms downstairs. We (2 adults, 3 kids) shared the cabin with my brother and his family (2 adults, 2 kids) and found there was more than enough space for both of our families. The back deck is a great place to hang out and the backyard is probably great for kids. It was pretty chilly while we were there so we stayed inside and cozy most of the time. The wood burning stove kept the cabin wonderfully warm.

We really appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, all the things you need for cooking and basics like paper towel, soap, etc were provided. We had a great time and hope to stay here again.

Also, this cabin is in a great location, very close to Camp Richardson. My extended family was camping at the Fallen Leaf Lake campground and this cabin was about a 6 minute drive from there.

Thank you for providing us with an awesome place to stay.

It was perfect for our first family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Staying at this beautiful cabin was perfect for my family and I. So comfortable and cozy, with modern amenities. It felt like home, with awesome nature right in your back yard, waking up and have coffee on the deck watching the squirrels and chipmunks running back and forth up and down the trees, the perfect weather during the day and night. The beds were so comfortable along with everthing else. It's within minutes to a convenience store, and to restaurants while travelling on a bike. We loved our stay at this cabin. Plan on going back for our next vacation. This was the best fourth of July celebration we ever had!

Return to Lake Tahoe

  • 4 of 5

This cabin very nice and comfortable ...Believe me everything you will need is already at cabin ... I haven't been to Tahoe for many years and didn't realize how built up the area is now ... Next time we come up it will definitely be during the week ... Seemed like every beach, parking space, restaurant , casino was packed ... Also seemed like every time we came back to cabin it welcomed us with open arms ! ... weekends a little too busy for me ... Morning coffee on deck along with evening adult beverage there also most enjoyable listening to the "quiet" ... My thanks to owners for excellent place to make home for a few days ... By the way (thru no fault of owners) electricity went out for 1/2 day thru out town & caused a little chaos in traffic and no power at cabin ... Almost felt like we would have to "rough it" for awhile ... Cabin flashlights came in handy ... I suppose 5 stars would be the right rating if not for this slight 'glitch" ...

Owner's Response: We are glad you had a great time at the cabin. Sorry for the electrical outage while you were there. It happens once in awhile due to either weather or animals interfering with equipment. These things are out of any owner's control. Glad the emergency lights worked for you.

We had a great time!!

  • 5 of 5

We took my father-in-law, who is terminally ill, for his last time in Lake Tahoe. The great grandkids woke up to snow on the ground and I, the grandpa, took them out sledding. We had a great time going up and down the street with me pulling them on the sled. To top the morning, we had a bear that we scared up from the neighbors house and ran away from us down the street. We really couldn't have asked for more. The house was great! The fire place hot, for Great Opa, and the bowling game in the twin bedroom was a hit! Perfect place!
