Sit on the covered lanai and enjoy the panoramic view of the spectacular coastline of Hukilau Beach, and the towering Koolau mountain range behind. Less than 100 steps to the waters edge, and a lovely meadow stretching past coconut trees and into the distance. A bicycle path runs through the meadow next to the property and along pastures where cattle graze on one side and spectacular beaches on the other. At Hukilau Beach you can walk across the reef to Goat Island just off shore.
Canadian maple cabinetry in the kitchen and bath, marble tub surround, and Ipe hardwood floors in the bedrooms. Plenty of outdoor living and a real tropical countryside feel. Shopping center just a 3 minute drive with grocery store, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Subway and more. Two screen movie theater. Brigham Young University 5 blocks from house. The Polynesian Cultural Center is one mile south. The rental shop just across the meadow, Rides and Grinds, offers kayak rentals, surfboards, bicycles, mopeds, and more. Close to everything and yet country seclusion.
Queen bed in one room and Bunk set plus queen in the other. Built in 2009, the house still shines like new.

About Marci Paddock
Walking on the beach in the morning is a favorite for exercise, and with the new bike path going to Kahuku, we love to ride bikes, sometimes all the way to Sunset Beach. If you make it to Sunset Beach area, Teds bakery is a great place to get a crab sandwitch and a piece of their famous chocolate haupia (coconut) pie.
Marci Paddock purchased this Condo in 2009
Why Marci Paddock chose Laie
We came here 6 years in a row on vacation and decided to leave the hustle bustle of the city and move to paradise. Laie is a very friendly community where life slows down and people enjoy the beauty around them.
What makes this Condo unique
The visitors center at the Mormon Temple is a great place to go when you want to enjoy a peaceful place to ponder and wander around the Temple grounds. The view from the Temple steps looking all the way down to the ocean is worth the visit alone.

Lovely place to stay with your family
This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this house in the past 2 years. The full kitchen and double rooms are nice with a family. Its right across from the beach and close to the grocery store and BYU campus and the PCC. We will probably stay here on our next family vacation!
We love to have return guests. Our home is your home, and Tiffany and her family are great guests!
Not at all as the pictures suggest . . .
This was very disappointing. The pictures are very, very misleading. In addition the place smells of mould and most of the fixtures are rusty. But the most disappointing was finding that the sheets and pillows were dirty, and there was hair in the bed.
It is true that the property is a short distance from the beach, but it also a shorter distance from the main road and traffic noise is quite loud. And it is not indicated clearly in the write up that the laundry facilities are shared, coin operated and only available for use after 4 pm.
I would not recommend this property for a family vacation.
This guest did not contact me about the hair on the sheets until the 3rd day of their stay when he said they were moving out. Had he called me when they arrived there would have been immediate action taken to replace the sheets and pillow cases. Instead, he chose to stay there and threatened to write a bad review if I did not refund his money.
Cute little rental.
The pictures don't do this rental justice. We stayed for a week and loved it. We would definitely stay there again.
Pictures didn’t do this place justice.
This property was perfect. It was close to the beach allowing for early morning sunrise viewing. Neighbors are quiet and friendly (including dropping off fresh coconuts) and close enough to everything the island but far enough to be away from a lot of foot traffic. By far the best place we’ve stayed on the island.
Thank you for the great review Jose. We loved hosting your family and hope to see you again in the future.
Excellent beach right across the street
Nice apartment with a great beach across the Kam Highway. Good home base for North Shore adventures.
Laie is an amazing place no matter what. The property was very average and not as nice as most.
The location of the property was excellent. However, the traffic was very loud, the hukilau beach wasn't the best, there were people in properties behind that were loud during the night. Garbage disposal barely worked, bathroom sink not good, etc. Other than those things, we had a good time.
We try very hard to keep things in good working order. If the guest had told us the sink and disposal had a problem we would have come and fixed it immediately. Hukilau Beach is a great beach. We have never in 10 years had a guest say they did not think that beach was spectacular. We did have a storm that brought in some ocean debris, but it was cleaned up within a few days.
Polynesian Cultural Center just a 3 minute drive from the property, Mormon Temple 2 blocks away, Brigham Young University Hawaii campus 3 blocks.
