Sit on the covered lanai and enjoy the panoramic view of the spectacular coastline of Hukilau Beach, and the towering Koolau mountain range behind. Less than 100 steps to the waters edge, and a lovely meadow stretching past coconut trees and into the distance. A bicycle path runs through the meadow next to the property and along pastures where cattle graze on one side and spectacular beaches on the other. At Hukilau Beach you can walk across the reef to Goat Island just off shore.
Canadian maple cabinetry in the kitchen and bath, marble tub surround, and Ipe hardwood floors in the bedrooms. Plenty of outdoor living and a real tropical countryside feel. Shopping center just a 3 minute drive with grocery store, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Subway and more. Two screen movie theater. Brigham Young University 5 blocks from house. The Polynesian Cultural Center is one mile south. The rental shop just across the meadow, Rides and Grinds, offers kayak rentals, surfboards, bicycles, mopeds, and more. Close to everything and yet country seclusion.
Queen bed in one room and Bunk set plus queen in the other. Built in 2009, the house still shines like new.
Ask about my 2 bedroom/ 2 bath unit on the same property as well!
Walking on the beach in the morning is a favorite for exercise, and with the new bike path going to Kahuku, we love to ride bikes, sometimes all the way to Sunset Beach. If you make it to Sunset Beach area, Teds bakery is a great place to get a crab sandwitch and a piece of their famous chocolate haupia (coconut) pie.

We came here 6 years in a row on vacation and decided to leave the hustle bustle of the city and move to paradise. Laie is a very friendly community where life slows down and people enjoy the beauty around them.
The visitors center at the Mormon Temple is a great place to go when you want to enjoy a peaceful place to ponder and wander around the Temple grounds. The view from the Temple steps looking all the way down to the ocean is worth the visit alone.
LOVED staying in Laie and the North Shore. First time to Hawaii and will stay here again. We arrived and the home was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Nice big kitchen with most of the needed cooking supplies. The best and not so best part is the location of the unit. The beach is right across the street!! It is a super-fun beach, Hukilau, very kid frendly. We were there most days (first day sunrise was incredible). The only down side is the road. It is the main highway for the North Shore and it is loud. We went to bed the first night an it felt like we were sleeping in the road. But we got used to it quickly and it was really a non-issue. The beach and the nice rental made up for it. Window box AC in the two bedrooms would fix this, though it was nice to lay each night with the ocean breeze blowing through the house too. We would definitely stay here again. Great for a family of 6.
This place was the best! We stayed for 10 days and our family had the vacation of our lives. Like the other reviews say, the road is noisy and the parking situation could be better. Knowing that, this place had everything we needed and more. The best part about this place has to be location. The best beach on the island is right across the street. I think the description said it's a 2 minute walk to the water, but that's being generous. You can see the top of the Mormon Temple from the rooms. All the great North Shore food trucks/restaurants and touristy stuff is a short drive away. It's an hour to Honolulu (free parking at Ala Moana mall). I would definitely recommend this place and rent again. Thanks for the stay!!!
The only two downfalls were the parking situation and the road noise. Other than that the location was perfect!! Right across the street from the beach, close to Laie, where byuh is located. The apartment was kept cool with the fans and windows open. Plenty of room. The kitchen is fully stocked, plenty of towels, fresh bar of soap, and comfy beds. It was perfectly located right across the beach!! What else do you need?!
Great convenient location
With great access to the beach and to BYU Hawaii. Not great because of all of the road noise.
dishwasher didn't work very well
Location was great. Near BYU- Hawaii and Kahuku beach. House had everything needed to cook meals n have family over for just relaxing and enjoying Hawaiian life. Could have used a portable AC unit in master bedroom but other than that we would definitely rent again. Reasonable rates as well. Loved it.
The condo was perfect. He kitchen was huge and connected to the living area. We wanted to be on the North Shore away from Honolulu and the crowds so this fit our needs totally. Honolulu was only an hour away so we could do the touristy stuff and then come home to our peaceful and relaxing condo. Hukilau Beach was so unique in that it has grass and shade and beautiful trees plus the beach. Plus it's right across the street. Every night we slept with the windows open and enjoyed the soft Hawaiian breeze. It was a perfect vacation.
Polynesian Cultural Center just a 3 minute drive from the property, Mormon Temple 2 blocks away, Brigham Young University Hawaii campus 3 blocks.
