Excellent for our family of 8 plus a toddler
We had researched carefully and felt this property accommodations and location fit our needs and it actually did. It was as described and very well supplied. Maitise was very easy to communicate and work with. We couldn’t have been happier.
Excellent, convenient location with lots of space!
We had a group of 4 adults and 2 children, and this apartment had plenty of space. It was very hot when we were in Paris (93-95 degrees F, 33 degrees C), and the air conditioner did a good job of keeping the space comfortable. The location was so convenient by being very close to a Metro stop, Gare du Nord, and Gare de l'Est, in addition to shops and restaurants. We had kids and luggage, and still found getting around to be very easy. As the description accurately notes, the sleeping areas are not all entirely separated. However, we did not find that to be a problem, and would not criticize anything that is accurately represented in the description. Thank you again for great service, and the use of this wonderful apartment.
Great space clean and accommodating
Enjoyed the space. Excellencr communication from Maitis. Near shopping and food areas. Would have giving 5 stars if there was information on how to watch channels in English. Recommend bringing HDMI to Rca cables if you want to watch movies off your computer or firestick. Overall for my first stay in Paris it was great.
Great rental for our family!
We loved the space once we developed a strategy for sharing one bathroom across 8 people. Great area of town and convenient to public transportation!
Great location, lots of space
We stayed here from 8-11 September. There was 9 of us in total - 3 couples, 2 singles and a child. It's on the ground floor of a building so the reference to ''loft' could be a bit misleading. There is a loft room in the living room which is accessed by a ladder but is really just a sleeping platform with a low ceiling. Your luggage won't fit up there. Our fittest couple was allocated that room. The other beds are all downstairs accessed by quite a narrow spiral staircase. There's only 1 bedroom (i.e. With a closed door and privacy) while the other beds are in an open plan area. It's a little challenging getting suitcases down there but if you're travelling lightly it might not be too bad. Also, there are no windows at all downstairs, essentially it's the basement. You can hear the trains rumbling underneath a bit but not enough to be disturbing.
There are plenty of supplies (toilet paper, washing up liquid, washing detergent etc). Be mindful that there's only 1 toilet - we all managed because we had to, but 9 people and 1 toilet...
They do ask you to remove all rubbish when leaving which we found unusual given we'd paid for the accommodation and would've expected that service to be included. It was challenging to find exactly where to dispose of the bottles etc. and required a walk a couple of blocks away which if you're in a hurry to catch transport could be annoying.
It's in a great location - right opposite a grocery store, covered market just on the corner and plenty of boulangeries. Also close to Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est and the closest metro (Poissonnière) is just a couple of minutes walk. There's also a couple of Monoprix express stores close by. We had one of our best meals out at La Maison Bleu which was just around the corner - highly recommend.
Overall it's a great apartment, easily accessed, great communication from the owners although we didn't meet them once we arrived - but extremely clear instructions on how to access the apartment and it has everything you'd need (maybe apart from another toilet.)
Great Apartment in Paris
The loft worked out great for our family of 7. We traveled to Paris by Eurostar and chose the loft for it's close proximity to Gare du Nord. It's in a great location for sightseeing Paris by walking and metro. The neighborhood is nice and bakery on the corner and grocery directly opposite make it easy to get a few things in for breakfast. We didn't do any cooking, but everything you need is here. We managed fine with the one bathroom. The washer/dryer was a real bonus as we needed to do some laundry. The only one small thing we would have liked was some ice cube trays to make some ice. It was extremely hot when we visited and you know how much Americans love their ice.
