Why The Owner chose Canyon Country & Northeast

We love being able to use our house in the summer to get away from heat and in the winter to ski and play in the snow.

What makes this cabin unique

Our house has a warm, cabin feel with it's wooden floors, beams and ceilings, as well as amenities of a luxury vacation home with granite and slate countertops throughout.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!! It was comfy, beautiful, open, and completely felt like home. We went sledding (thanks to your wonderful guard shack) and just had a wonderful time here. Hopefully we will be back! I love Flagstaff and your home!!

Home Away From Home!

  • 5 of 5

My entire family spent our Christmas Holiday in this home. It was beautiful, well supplied, clean and quite comfortable.

we cooked every meal and found the kitchen to be well supplied, other than sharp knives and an old school potato masher. 😆 We did just fine though. The immersion blender did the job!

Angie was kind enough to keep the Christmas Tree up so we can have our Grand Daughter enjoy the presents under the tree.

I would absolutely return to this property.

Can't thank you enough for making so comfortable for my entire family!

RENTER BEWARE

  • 1 of 5

I hate to do this, but I really feel future renters must be informed of this property. It is not what it appears to be. We rented this house for 16 nights this summer. Upon arrival, we were overwhelmed with the pest issue they have. The house was covered head to toe with spider webs, and gnats. Spider webs all over the inside as well. We could not even enjoy the patios for the first 5 days. We had a pest company come out two times, spent over $100 at Home Depot on foggers and the situation finally improved. I can assure you none of the neighbors homes had this issue. Although Angie was helpful at first, after the first couple of days she was conveniently out of the country as the situation worsened. Now for the rest....the inside is dirty, carpets needs to be changed, we scrubbed the coffee maker because it was covered in mold, the kitchen is impossible to find anything in, the knives don't work, the blender does not work, the propane tank was out of gas upon arrival, the curtains are falling down, there are no garage door openers, and I had to dust the entire home myself. I am a clean person, but I have never had to deal with these things in a vrbo before. The neighborhood and views are lovely, but the house is in desperate need for a lot of TLC. Unfortunately, I would reconsider before renting this property.

Owner's Response: Brady, I am sad to hear your experience was not as wonderful as past guests. I was out of the country and told you that in case there was a time gap in communication. I was in continual communication with you and around 60 emails were exchanged, in addition to an abundant of phone calls, text messages and visits by my house manager. You informed me of your concern Fri. and after calling over 7 professional pest control companies, I secured services first thing Sat. I agreed to pay the cost, in addition to the extra $75 for weekend services. In the meantime, I had my house manager and handy man spray for you Fri. The professional pest company sprayed Sat., and after another request by you, they sprayed again on Mon. Although you requested a third visit, they informed me that due to environmental issues, they could not legally spray again until 10 days had passed. Furthermore, they said the bug situation was not out of the norm for a home that has forest vegetation, on a golf course, with a flowing creek. I'm glad you gave the chemicals time to do their job. In regards to the carpets, I appreciate your comment. You may not be aware of this, but my home is pet friendly. I see dogs and cats as part of the family and have never charged an additional fee or required an additional deposit to have them enjoy my home. As a result, my carpets do need to be cleaned more regularly as compared to a non-pet friendly home. I apologize for the coffee pot. I do know that the Keurig is a bit more popular, and perhaps the coffee pot had been neglected. Coming into someone else's home has its challenges and I can imagine your frustration with the kitchen, which is why I labeled every drawer and cabinet. I cannot guarantee my guests will adhere to the labeling system. I have replaced the blender. Thank you for telling me it was broken. There should be two propane tanks. One attached to the grill and a spare in the garage. I will make sure both are filled. I was there right after your visit and saw the curtains. I got a ladder and re-hung them. As I explained to you, I had 3 openers. Two have gone home with guests, therefore I am holding on the the last one. Perhaps I could get a deposit from guests to use it, especially in the winter months. I have passed your comment about the dust to my house manager. I offered you the option to back out of your contract w/ no penalty and you declined. I hope you created some fun memories and HB to your daughter.

Mothers Day & NAU Graduation

  • 5 of 5

The reason I rented this property was all the positive reviews, so my expectations were high. Oh my gosh, we were surprised, even more than imagined. First, pulling up to the gate, the people who watch the gate were so friendly and helpful. Pulling up to the property, beautiful as expected but then once inside, the photos do not do this home justice. Comfortable livable elegance. The owner was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. The home was equipped with all we needed. With all the ongoing activities in Flagstaff, we were far enough from the hustle and bustle but actually just popped off the freeway and onto the campus, no waits at lights. I'm sorry I didn't discover this place sooner, before my daughter graduated from NAU. I would most definitely recommend this home to family and friend. Paula

Girl's Getaway

Beautiful modern, yet rustic home with every amenity. Clean and cozy. Even though we only cooked breakfast, it was a wonderfully equipped kitchen. Convenient to restaurants in Flagstaff as well as area attractions. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Escape From The Valley

The property was just as imagined and in a very beautiful setting. It was perfect for two

couples to share. The kitchen was well appointed and especially appreciated by those of

us who love to cook.If you love the pines and the outdoors, this is the place. The fact

that we could bring our dogs was a bonus !

Gorgeous Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. Each room is beautifully decorated and it has everything you would ever need in a rental. Plenty of space for our four kids and four adults. The kids enjoyed all of the toys and games and the adults LOVED cooking in the kitchen. We had fresh snow so there were plenty of areas to pick from to go sledding with the little ones. Downtown Flagstaff is only a ten minute drive so the location was ideal for us as well. Could not have asked for a nicer owner to deal with! Thank you Angie! We look forward to our next visit and also can't wait to stay in the summer so we can enjoy watching some golf!
