Take a trip back in time when you stay in our beautifully restored 1890's Victorian era home with lovely mountain views. It has been completely restored with all the modern-day amenities but retains all of the old-world charm to include high ceilings, original woodwork, crown molding, ornate hand-carved fireplace mantle, stained glass and bay windows, french doors and beautiful art-deco light fixtures.

We have tastefully furnished the house and included everything that anyone could need to feel right at home. The beautiful new kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with spices, basic food items, and condiments. Gorgeous, original hard-wood floors throughout the house make for a very clean environment. The property includes a detached, oversized two-car garage and a wonderful fully-fenced yard and patio area with a BBQ grill ready for your use.

This is a unique home in the core of the city sitting on 2/3's of an acre, allowing for lots of privacy. None of our living space is in the basement....all rooms are bright and cheerful. We have central air conditioning (not all home do in the Springs), and we also have dual hot-water tanks to provide ample hot water for large groups.

We are centrally located within two miles of our vibrant downtown area. We are one mile north of Colorado College, and only four blocks north of Penrose Hospital. A fabulous renovated 70-year-old former grade school (Lincoln Center) is nearby. It is such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood community and a fun place to hang out. There is a coffee shop/roaster, cafe, pilates and yoga studio, barber shop, and full-fledged gym. More businesses are on the way including a bakery, BBQ restaurant, and a craft brewery with tasting room coming this spring.

From our home, you will find it very easy to reach all of the most popular attractions, to include: Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, The North Pole, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, Olympic Training Center, Air Force Academy, Seven Falls, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and more - all within about 15 minutes of the house. The Royal Gorge, Cripple Creek and Denver are within one hour.

For hikers, runners and bicyclists, the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail is just 6 blocks west of our house.

For your peace of mind, we have a digital lock on the front door and the code is changed prior to all new arrivals. Other doors are re-keyed between visits.

We call our home The 3 R's. REST after a day of sight seeing by curling up with a good book or watching some of the best HD TV programming available (DirecTV's Choice with over 150 channels). RELAX on the front porch or the back patio with family and friends; and REJUVENATE your body and spirits, as stress becomes a distant memory. All beds have top-of-the line Sealy Posturepedic firm/plush mattresses for everyone's comfort level. No attention to detail has been missed. My husband and I moved from Seattle/Wichita in 2004, because the city offered everything we both wanted as we started our new lives together. We love Colorado Springs and are very excited about sharing our city and its surrounding area. There is so much to do and see here. Our home is located on the fringe of our city's most desirable Old North End neighborhood with its elaborate Victorian homes most of which were built between 1890 and 1901 with monies from the Cripple Creek gold strike. If you enjoy walking, you will love partaking in the many self-guided walking tours of the area. Visit our downtown also and enjoy your choice of outside cafes, many fine dining establishments, museums, parks, charming boutiques, nightclubs, the Penrose Library, the Fine Art Center, and the Pikes Peak Center.

Cooking Utensils Provided: You will feel right at home in this kitchen. All the necessary gadgets. New pots and pans, dishes, silverware, crockpot, mixer, coffeemaker, toaster, blender and more.
