About Pamela Jones
We have lived in the Newburyport area for over 25 years and enjoyed this home for 5 of those years. When we moved from it we turned it into a vacation rental. We own and rent out a beach house on Plum Island and decided to see if there was an interest in people renting this beautiful Victorian in Newburyport. There is! We now enjoy providing a home away from home for visitors.
Pamela Jones purchased this House in 2003
Why Pamela Jones chose Newburyport
Our home provides a wonderful place to stay for various reasons you may be visiting the area. We have had a vast range of guests. Wedding parties or guests, vacationers that want the option of the beach without the sand and traffic, business travelers that enjoy a home stay instead of a hotel, people gathering for family reunions, families needing a home while theirs are being renovated, families wanting their children attending the Newburyport schools.
What makes this House unique
Our guests have enjoyed this home in particular because of the large dining table, number of real beds, books and games, fabulous location, large master bedroom, basketball hoop, relaxing in the yard, sunny porch, gardens, most importantly, customer service. Because we live in the area, we do our best to quickly resolve any issues that may arise.

Large well equiped comfortable house
This is a very spacious and comfortable house. It is extremely well outfitted with furnishings and kitchen ware. The owners were extremely responsive and helpful in answering the few questions we had for them. The location is very good, away from the noisy streets in Newburyport.Yet it is an easy walk to the town center and the parks along the river. It is a great location for walking a dog.Off street parking was a nice plus.Highly recommended !!!
Wonderful Spot for a Large Group
We rented this wonderful house for a large group of wedding guests and family for my son's wedding. It was perfect in every way. The house comfortably slept 12 guests. Everything we needed was available, from linens to kitchen utensils. The house even had a clever system in the bathroom to make sure that there was plenty of hot water for everyone to take a shower before the wedding. The property has functional air conditioning, very unusual for an old New England home like this. The location was perfect. Many of the guests were groomsmen, and their wives. All of them appreciated being able to walk home from the rehearsal dinner that was located in downtown Newburyport. We especially loved the large kitchen area where we could all gather to prepare meals, laugh and exchange stories. The house is adorable, with a lot of charm, and very clean. This was our second family wedding in the Newburyport area. There are no large hotels in the downtown Newburyport area to house a large numbers of guests, so we had to depend on VRBO's to house our guests that came from far away. If you have an event in the area, or simply want a vacation home for a large group, I would highly recommend this home. Newburyport is one of our favorite classic coastal New England towns. It is centrally located with many amazing coastal tourist spots just a short drive away.
The house overly exceeded our expectations
We had a amazing time in Newburyport. The house was perfect and there was more than enough room for all of us. Pam was very accommodating and we would definitely return in the future!
A wonderful house in a great location
This pretty house is spacious, warm, comfortable and well equipped. There were 9 of us staying and there was plenty of hot water for showers etc/ soft, fluffy towels and plenty of bathroom, kitchen and laundry products which was really helpful. Newburyport is a lovely small town with plenty of decent restaurants and shops and ideally situated for access to the coast, mountains, lakes, interesting towns, pretty villages and Boston and all they have to offer.
Parking was easy; 2 cars on driveway and plenty of safe, on road parking.
Pam was very helpful and friendly and organising the booking was quick and easy. If there had been a need for help during our stay, I know it would have been available. Thanks to Pam for this.
Everyone loved the house so that is further recommendation.
Our best rental ever!!!
We are a family of 8 and have been doing summer rentals thru this site for 14 years. This home was the best by far! Pam's beautifully appointed kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare and cook our nightly dinners and cook outs. I brought nothing but the food we ate. Cleaning supplies, bathroom supplies, towels, beach towels all provided. The dining room was large enough for our family game nights and elegant enough for company dinner with easy to care for table linens . We had plenty of room in the large home to stretch out and relax after a day at the beach. Everyone had their own bed, with beautiful linens provided ( That is a huge plus!!) along with plenty of room for storage AND no fighting over bathrooms with 3 in the house . My 83 year old mother claimed the day bed on the sunny side porch for her reading room. The pictures definitely do not do this home justice. The neighborhood is quiet, the down town area is charming with great restaurants (Michaels was our favorite) and the beaches were 10 minutes away (Salisbury was the best) . We explored nearby Gloucester (Hammond Castle is a must!), Rockport (quaint seaside shopping area) MA and Portsmouth NH during the day and downtown, historic, Newburyport after dinner. Over the years we have only rented the same home twice but this home is a keeper for future Frazier family vacations !
Gamechanger for our family!
Pam helped us out of a tough situation when the house we were supposed to rent had no wifi which my husband and I needed to work while we were in Nbpt. She responded to my request within minutes and met us at the house 30 minutes later. The house was a godsend - working wifi and cable tv with Chromecast, plenty of bedrooms to separate teenage boys for privacy, 3 bathrooms, a great kitchen and a washer and dryer. The basketball hoop was a huge bonus. The location is great and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. We will definitely rent this house again.
