About the property

Townhome, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 9)

In just a short distance you can walk to one of the largest ski areas in Pennsylvania, step in your skis and ski down before you even get your lift ticket. Halfway up Camelback mountain is your townhouse with a TV in every room. Walk back for lunch by the fire then right back to the slopes. The kids can go snow tubing, the shoppers can go shopping at the huge outlet mall. Then relax in the hot tub while the kids go swimming!

The dining in the area is excellent. Not only is this a great winter vacation but the summer is awesome, with Camelbeach waterpark. Parks like the Delaware Water Gap and Bushkill Falls are only two of many places to visit especially in the spring and fall. You wont have enough time to do all there is to do here. Its a guaranteed good time!

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

Went up with 3 other couples and had a great time! I must say the pictures don't give this place justice..its much nicer and larger than the pictures look...It's actually three floors (and a loft )! It was hassle free and the landlord was available to answer any questions we had by phone. The ski on ski off was perfect and so easy to get to. We are definitely looking forward to coming back , maybe even this summer!

Great Family Experience

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed for 3 nights and had a very nice time. The home was great as advertised and we were even welcomed with a nice note and bottle of red wine! Everything you need to enjoy some time away from work and with the family. The rooms are very clean, spacious and accommodating for all ages. We went to the supermarket the first day to buy groceries and utilized the kitchen appliances so we did not have to take the kids out to eat. My brother and I took our kids tubing during the day, came home for lunch and then went snowboarding at night after early dinners. The convenience of boarding off and on the mountain made this even more enjoyable for everyone. Our wives made their way over to the Outlets ( 5-10 minutes away) while we took the kids to the indoor pool to go swimming. We have already asked to reserve for next year!

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

We were there for ten nights and had a great time. The area is beautiful. The home was just as shown, clean and well maintained. They had a new grill, but sadly did not get a chance to use it. We had brought some cooking supplies as other places we have been to lacked what we needed. This home had it covered. About 2-3 mile drive to the top of the mountain and a beautiful view. Right off the end of the parking lot you step off and are at the top of one of the ski slopes with a great view as well. The owners made sure we could contact them should we need anything and have been very accommodating. Should we be in the area again, we would rent the same home.

Good value for money but don't expect too much

  • 3 of 5

Stayed for the month of August in year 2015.

Village at Camelback is primarily geared towards winter season, however offers indoor pool and Jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, sauna (men's was broken though). There is a long staircase from parking lot to the door, so the property is not recommended for handicapped or those with strollers. Shopping and restaurants are in driving distance (10 mins or more).

The townhouse is somewhat run down (old carpets, furniture, leaking dishwasher, slow-draining toilets) and owner despite being responsive on Email didn't address the issues. There is an open balcony with a new grill but you need to BYO gas tank (or buy one for $50). Downstairs there are two bedrooms, but only one has A/C. Also there are washer and dryer. Total of 2.5 bathrooms, 3 beds and one bunk bed.

High-speed internet and large LCD TV were provided at no charge and worked very well. There are also small CRT TVs in the bedrooms. Camelbeach water park is in walking distance (15 mins).

Owner's Response: I always provide my personal cell phone to all my guests first thing just in case of any problem that my arise just as something like a plumbing leak or any other urgent problem. I make a note to call me because I don't always get a chance to look at my emails. But when I did find out about a problem I sent over a plumber asap and found out there was nothing wrong with the newly renovated bathroom toilets and the dishwasher was turned off mid wash which collected water in side the bottom. The plumber ran it through and it worked fine with no leaks. However there was a leak in the garbage disposal which has already been replaced. We try to make your stay as comfortable as possible and if there is any problem at all I would love to be contacted immediately to take care of the problem. Thanks Lorraine

Quiet mountain home with amenity filled community

  • 5 of 5

The house was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make home cooked meals. I was surprised at how stock the cupboards were with dishes. Everything was very simple and convenient. We didn't have any neighbors except for three nights out of the entire month.

The community is very nice, has security, a pool and hot tub and sauna in the bathrooms.

We enjoyed being away from it all and having peace and quiet.

We arrived late at night and the security guard drove up to the house and gave us the access key to the gate and some brochures and maps even though I have been coming there for 20 years. Security is available 24/7 in case of any problems which is nice for a mom all by herself wth three little kids.

The pictures really don't do this home justice. It is a great getaway and I hope to return soon with my family!

Very convenient!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in this slopeside townhouse. Check in was easy and the townhouse had everything we needed. There was a nice welcome note and a bottle of wine on the table to greet us! Our boys enjoyed having a tv in their room even though they fell asleep very quickly after skiing and swimming. The pool and sauna were great to be able to use. Since it was a holiday weekend the mountain was very crowded but being able to walk to the slope was perfect. We had our two younger boys with us and they were not comfortable beginning on slopeside/middle of the mountain. Since it was a holiday weekend and parking was crazy my husband would drop off the boys and I at the base, go back to the village (2 minutes away) and park at the townhouse. He and our older son would ski down and meet up with us. At lunch he would take the lift back up and it would drop him off directly across from where the town house is. Sometimes he would take a different lift to the very top and ski 1/2 way down, hop in the car and pick us up. It was great to be able to go back for lunch, hang out, & warm up in our own space instead of on the slope and spending $$ for lunch & dinner. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer. I would dry the kids gloves and snow pants before going back out again. Barley Creek Brewing Company is right down the road. Good wings and beer! Other restaurants and grocery store are within 10 minutes. Only two minor complaints....the tv in the loft was not hooked up and we couldn't figure it out. The other is that the pots & pans in the kitchen could be updated. We had a great time & look forward to going back next year!

Thank you Lorraine for an easy getaway!
