About Diana & Fred --- Your Hosts at Tahoe Temptation

We both grew-up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and have been "Tempted" by Lake Tahoe for years. The enchanting magic of the lake and the surrounding Sierra Nevada prevails, and it still offers new experiences and adventures every trip. We continually make every effort to make our Lake Tahoe getaway a welcoming home away from home for our guests and take pride in providing a wide variety of information to help make every stay a memorable one.

Diana & Fred --- Your Hosts at Tahoe Temptation purchased this townhome in 1996

Why Diana & Fred --- Your Hosts at Tahoe Temptation chose Incline Village NV

Our North Lake Tahoe townhome condo at Incline Village, Nevada, is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to feel like you're 1,000 miles away, yet it's only a 3.5-4 hour drive from the Bay Area and just 45 minutes from the Reno-Tahoe Int'l Airport. Located in Forest Pines, just steps away from Lakeshore, our condo has one of the best locations in Incline Village. A wide range of multi-season activities, fine and casual restaurants and a small town, "village" vibe makes it a unique vacation destination.

What makes this townhome unique

From easy unloading and loading right out front, to an instant-on gas fireplace to quickly take the chill out, our condo affords a wide variety of features the minute you arrive.

An antique buffalo head from Idaho presides from high above the fireplace hearth in the cathedral-ceiling living room, an historic and Native American decor set the approachable and friendly accommodations, and each bedroom has their own dedicated full bath. The kitchen is fully-equipped and ready for preparing an quick and easy breakfast or a special three-course dinner.

In the summer, just step out the door and the Incline beaches are just a short walk away. Hiking, biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, para-sailing, boating — you name it — it's all right here.

And in the winter, Diamond Peak is a quick drive up the hill and also offers a daily shuttle that stops right in front of the Forest Pines entrance.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed in this lovely condo in January, 2010. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 4! It is a cozy mountain home that is immaculately clean--a combination that is not easy to come by. It is obvious that owners Fred & Diana take great pride in this property! We loved the oversized couch, and the easy gas fireplace warmed us up instantly after playing in the snow all day. One more word of praise is for Fred. He was a tireless source of information and resources when it came to my many questions about the area. I very much appreciated that. Incline Village is a lovely part of Tahoe to stay in. There really is not much of a village to see, but the homes around this area are incredible. Diamond Peak is 5 minutes drive from here, and a great place to have your kids learn how to ski. The lake is a 2 minute walk down the property and across the street, and a new and large indoor hot tub is literally 200 steps from the property. Thanks again, Fred & Diana! We look forward to staying here again.

Very clean, comfortable condo.

  • 5 of 5

This condo is very clean, very comfortable, and in a great location! It is well stocked with everything you would need, including extras like electrical surge plugs in every room, which was a convenient feature for charging phones, etc. It also had lamps with bright enough bulbs for reading, something not all condos have. My husband and I invited another couple to stay with us for a week, and there was plenty of room for four of us. The condo is an easy, beautiful 1/2-mile walk to the Hyatt Marina and Hotel, and a shorter walk to the beach. Fred and Diana provide all information you will need and are attentive and easy to communicate with. Thank you, F & D.

This condo is in excellent condition and in a great location for a winter or summer vacation. Everyone in my family enjoyed the place and the rec center guests can use. I would definitively recommend it. As previous reviews state, the owners were great to work with. Thanks, Fred and Diana!

We felt like home

  • 5 of 5

We spent three nights in August in Fred and Diana's condo. What I can say is that they are great hosts - from bending over to accommodate an early check-in and especially for keeping this condo in such way that made us feel like home. One can tell the condo is not very new and most condos of this age sometimes feel and look a bit creepy. This one is different: it's clean, well maintained, in good standing, well furnished, perfectly functional and, in addition to all this - very charming. What I liked the most is that, as opposed to other rental condos, one can find any household object needed - just like home. The kitchen is fully endowed with anything needed for cooking, including spices, oil & vinegar - you name it. Same for the rest of the house, in every detail. You can tell the hosts care about it and want to make you feel good. The only (minor) downside is that the unit is not very bright.

The recreation area looks brand new and has a pool, hot tub, sauna and ping-pong table. The complex seems very well maintained.

Overall a very pleasant experience - thank you, Diana and Fred!

Very well located property in Incline Village

  • 4 of 5

This property had everything we needed for our trip to a lacrosse tourney in Incline Village. We could walk to the field, the beach and restaurants, or drive if necessary. The front deck was a great spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The sliding doors need a bit of something to make them open easier, but every appliance we needed was provided. Working with Fred was great. He answered questions quickly and provided a lot of info on the area.
