Lovely yard, patio, and lots of parking for everyone! Plenty of white sandy beaches and the cape cod shopping mall is just minutes away from the residence.
Rentals for summer of 2014 are running Sunday to Sunday.
We live in New Hampshire with our three boys-now young men- and just bought this home for vacations too! The apartment is totally renovated and new! We are so excited to have you stay and explore this beautiful part of the Cape!
Petra Schaefer or Carl Nosenzo purchased this apartment in 2012
Only 60 miles from Boston, this property provides a lovely vacation spot. We do something different every day we are here. Fishing, golfing, swimming, hiking, shopping, concerts, whale watching.....the list goes on.
This home has been newly refurbished, however it has so many lovely traditional features to include a fireplace, gorgeous slate floors, ceiling beams, wood panels and built in bookcases.
Perfect location for exploring the Cape. Osterville is a beautiful town with fabulous beaches (Dowses our favourite), shops and restaurant options all in walking distance. Petra & Carl's property is appointed well, very clean and has everything you need for a week away. We made full use of the beach chairs, cool bag etc. Kitchen is well equipped - only things we missed (as from the UK and can't bring our own) are boxes to pack up picnic food and ice blocks for the cool bag. But we managed well. Washer/dryer facilities great - as is the kitchen. However by far the best thing about this property is Carl and Petra (and Ruby!) - they made us feel so welcome - from the moment we booked until we drove off for the next stage of our holiday. They know the local area so well - gave us great recommendations (and directions for our 'adventures'). We loved Crisp - a 7 minute stroll away - for pizzas, bar and friendly locals. We will be back!
The place is exactly as described; a bright, spacious garden apartment with the owners above.
Plenty of room for a family of five. Well-appointed kitchen. Appliances.
Right behind the main Osterville strip with Fancy's Market and boutique shops. Not too far from the beaches and they included use of a beach pass in the rental.
The best feature by far was the ownership. Petra and Carl purchased last year and just remodeled and we were their first renters. They were chock-full of great advice and they were quick to get us anything they or we had forgotten.
At least six different things that our family did on this vacation we wouldn't have known to do if not for their advice. Really wonderful people.
We called pretty last minute (Monday) for off-schedule dates that happened to fit when they had a vacancy (Friday to Wednesday) and they were willing to accommodate.
We squeezed a lot into those days: Dowses Beach, Craigsville Beach, Hyannis, MIT, Harvard, relatives in Cambridge, Marconi Beach, Provincetown, Herring Cove Beach, Race Point Beach, Chatham Fisheries, Chatham Town, Chatham Lighthouse Beach, Orchard House (Concord), Minuteman Park (Lexington). Lots of seafood. Lots of really good ice cream.
Didn't have time for whale watching or for a trip to one of the islands. Maybe next time.
The place has a great location. Not far from the beach and easy access to the rest of the cape, but Cambridge/Boston still accessible for day trips (important to us). It has room for a family of five to spread out. Full kitchen with everything new. Internet, TV (we hooked up our laptop to the TV with our own HDMI to connect to Netflix), washer dryer and air hockey.
I'd get up, get showered and get dressed to hit Fancy's Market when it opened to get baked goods and coffee for my wife. Kids play air hockey while waiting their turn for the shower. We'd hit the road by 9 to visit the beaches and towns. Come back exhausted in the evening, put the beach stuff in the washer, relax with a movie and get ready for the next day.
Family memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks Nosenzos!
Take the bus to Boston or Plymouth Plantation or take the ferry to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard. Bike the Cape Cod bike trail or walk on the National Seashore. Joshua Pond beach around the corner.
Attend free weekly concerts in town. Enjoy antique fairs, cranberry bogs, winter festival, walk to marina to see boat building or just relax on the beach! We have something for everyone!
