Why Lois & Doug Snader chose Paradise

In past years, this Victorian Mansion was first built by a brides'father to be given to her as a wedding gift! Her and her husband lived their entire lives here.Early in the 1970's a couple bought the property and operated (for 25 yrs)as an art gallery. Then the Snader's bought the property to bring it up to modern standards and to share it with others,to enjoy the architecture & charm of times gone by.

What makes this house unique

As we entered the grand front hallway we fell in love with the magnificent sprial staircase that wraps to the third floor. we knew immediately, this was the property for us!

girls weekend

  • 5 of 5

12 of us spent a great weekend in this lovely home! Everyone loved the house ! It was clean and furnished nicely. Lois was very helpful and left directions for us to one of our destinations. The living room area was big enough and cozy for all of us to enjoy together. The location was perfect!!! We all really enjoyed our stay there and can't wait to do it again.

Comfortable, roomy, close to Lancaster/Amish Country

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 12 and the stay was perfect. The rooms were comfortable and the 4th bedroom on the top floor actually has a second bedroom attached - perfect for a couple with kids. Plenty of room at the dining room table and there is a second table in the kitchen if needed. The lawn is expansive, too.

One thing to be aware of is the highway it is on is quite busy, including truck traffic. You don't really hear it inside the home, though, and it does mean you are an easy drive into Lancaster and other attractions.

Sibling gathering in Lancaster

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I gathered all our siblings and spouses for a three night stay in Lancaster. The house was beautiful, and very nicely furnished. Lois and Doug were very accommodating. greeting us as we arrived, and also responding to a small plumbing issue, which was quickly resolved. Other then an afternoon visit to Sight and Sound theater, we basically stayed at the house and just visited and caught up with one another. There are numerous steps to reach the second and third floor rooms, which can be a little challenging for our aging group, but otherwise we had a very pleasant time, and we would certainly want to come back at some point. The house, the dining/living room, the jaccuzzi tubs, the porch, the gazebo, parking area, etc were all great, and the huge tree in the yard is amazing. Very nice place and welcoming hosts.

Wonderful house in Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent three nights at this wonderful home. What history and character it has! The house was spotless and full of older home nooks and crannies. Lois was helpful in learning more about the house's history as well as that of Paradise. Centrally located so we could visit Amish country and Longwood Gardens. We were scouting for a large home where we might bring the extended family to in the future. I think we found it!
