What makes this villa unique

This property has one of the best views in Lanikai! Short walk to Lanikai beach, quiet, and naturally cool most of the time.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Words cannot describe how wonderful Lois' place is, especially for the value, but I'll try. First, the location is easily the best spot in Lanikai, let alone Oahu altogether. The view is stunning, and the accessibility to Lanikai beach, Kailua and surrounding attractions makes this spot ideal for your desire to explore the island. BUT, we didn't because you simply cannot find a better "perch" on the island. In fact, most people we met around town and on the beach made this destination spot for a day, and left wondering "why don't we just stay here the whole time"? Enter our 7 day stay. First, Lois is a wonderful person and great host. Reminder, this is her home and permanent residence, thus it is (I believe) equally important to be mindful and respectful as guests (this probably holds true in most aspects of life). That being said, most of the time you felt like you had much of the property to yourself (includes the pool, your room, and a separate studio-like area with lots of extras). The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and roomy, and even thought the sunrise and sunset are bar-none the best thing to do, Lois does provide wireless internet and cable t.v. Access to the beach is 3 blocks away, albeit I am lazy, so I chose to use are rental car. Lois provides you use of the washer and dryer, and the rec room is equipped with microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee maker...and even gives you fresh eggs from her chickens and filtered drinking water as needed. I loved not having to pack beach towels, snorkeling gear, coolers, and other beach items because they are all provided. Anyone would be hard pressed to find a better accommodation and location for the price, not to re-mention what a great host Lois was. We also had our own parking spot, which is RARE in Lanikai. Again, words cannot describe the views, especially as your toes are dancing in the beautiful pool. I took a video from the patio where we watched the sunrise every morning. You can find it on youtube searching under Panoramic view of Lanikai Bay. This is what you'll see if you are fortunate enough to break away for vacation, and Lois' rental is available. Rani and I thank you again for a spectacular time "doing nothing". It was the best!!!!!

Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

Lois was sweet and kind and warm to our stay. Her place is beautiful with an amazing view and a short walk to the beach. This side of the island is less busy but still has lots of stores, shops and restaurants in the downtown area only 2 miles away from her house.

It was amazing. The pictures are just what it is. An amazing quiet retreat.

I was looking for a quiet beautiful view. I found it. I found the view to be perfect just like the pictures. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Lois was so kind and helpful and takes great pride in providing a perfect vacation spot. I will return many times over. I love Windward side of the island. Much much quieter and a cute little town to shop and eat. I would say it was perfect.

A Little Piece of Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This property exceeded our expectations immensely and we would strongly recommend it to anyone. The owner was very friendly and genuinely concerned about the quality of our vacation. She provided us with everything we needed, beyond even what might be expected; boogie boards, snorkels, floaters etc. and good recommendations about local businesses. The site was tranquil , private, and had a stunning view that made us say, "Wow!" out loud everytime we looked up. Lanikai beach, at the end of the street, had amazing sand and was great for snorkelling. The town of Kailua was filled with friendly people and had an easy-going quality which made visiting there a wonderful experience. We would go back in a second.

Beautiful Setting

  • 5 of 5

This property offers it all! The location is perfect should you want a serene and peaceful view to just gaze out onto and relax throughout the day and into the evening. You will easily view Kailua Bay, Flat Island, and the Mokes of Lanikai. Completely breathtaking!

Should you enjoy the beach, Lanikai Beach is a short walk from the property on very quite and safe streets. If you continue walking you will find yourself at Kailua Beach Park, it is that close. Catching the sunrises and sunsets are so easy from this property.

The accommodations were as advertised. Well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Lois, the host, is such a nice person and her two small dogs are sweet and such a joy to be around.

Amazing view was spot on!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was most enjoyable and after days of being at the beach and seeing the sights, it was a great place to return to at night. Great location to seeing the sights in Honolulu plus the North Shore! One of the selling features for the spa loving member in the family was having a hot tub to enjoy in the evening. After reading the welcome material upon arriving, we read that there was an additional $20.00 fee to heat the spa. We chose not to pay the additional charge and wished we would have known this info when we booked the rental. We had a great time and enjoyed Lois' beautiful home!

Lovely basement rental.

Was a little surprised how difficult it was to navigate the steep drive without the car, but absolutely loved the view. Very homey. Tight sleeping quarters.Big bathroom. Large eating and reading area with a view! Lovely patio for reading and watching the weather around twin mountains. Warm and inviting host. Lots of beach stuff to use!
