My husband and I love the mountains and decided to build a log home because we love the rustic feel of a log home. We love to hike and enjoy the outdoors.
Heather Spaulding purchased this cabin in 2011
We decided to build in this community because it's peaceful and quiet yet it's just 15 minutes to town!
We just returned from our biannual motorcycle trip to the Smokey Mountains. There were 6 adults and we always try to find a different place to stay. This home is beautiful with a small but nice view of the mountains from a wonderful deck. The entire development was beauty. Everything we needed was the. The only problem was there was no water pressure on the upstairs shower and downstairs bathroom sink. Having grills available to use made it nice to cook and not have to eat out all the time. Would recommend this home
Just got back from a wonderful trip! Serenity log cabin is beautifully appointed and immaculate. Located in a beautiful gated community with breathtaking views, this cabin is equipped with all the comforts of home. A safe haven to return to after a long day of activity. It is about 40 minutes to downtown Asheville, Chimney Rock, and a short ride to Linville Falls and Blue Ridge Parkway. We were a party of six and were very comfortable at the cabin. It was great to be able to use the kitchen to make breakfast and dinner. Heather is very easy to work with, and takes care of all of the details in an efficient manner. Can't wait to go back!
My husband & I just weathered the heat wave of 2012 at this charming cabin in Grandview Peaks. And let me say, the cabin was great. It's the perfect size for a small family (or for just 2, like us) and had all the conveniences of home. At night we could lie in bed and watch the stars twinkling in the night sky right outside our bedroom window, and even though we didn't see any deer or bear, we did enjoy a visiting hummingbird that stopped by every afternoon. This is a great place to relax and unwind from the work-a-day world, as there are no streetlights, no traffic and no people right next door. If you're looking for excitement, this probably isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for a great place to sit back and take life at a slower pace, I highly recommend it. And while you're in the area, I also recommend you eat at the Countryside BBQ. Yum! Yum!
As advertised plus ! Owners were easy to work with, home is super clean, fully furnished. Made trip with 3 teens from Ct. (18 16 15) no one wanted to leave, cell coverage tough but home ph. has full coverage. stores with in 15-20min. Very dark when sun goes down, just get there early 1st time so you know where your going. Great views, peaceful, quiet, relaxing thanks for sharing your home with our family.
We loved this cabin! It was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. We had two couples sharing the house but we could have had other [small] guests in the second bedroom upstairs. The basement was fine for games etc but I couldn't envision sleeping down there, it is definately unfinished. The kitchen was beautiful as were the bathrooms. This cabin is way back in the subdivision so it is quite the trek to get up there but it has a great view and is very private. The price was right and we had a lovely stay. We would recommend this cabin to friends. We would also enjoy staytng there again. The owners are very nice and easy to work with. Great place!
WOW!! We spent a wonderful one-week vacation with two of our grandchildren in this cozy, private cabin surrounded by natural scenic beauty and serene calm mountains. It is accessible to many attractions like Linville Caverns, Lake James, Grandfather Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, gem mining in Little Switzerland, and trout fishing at Price Lake (and most everywhere)--and we did it all!!
This cabin offers fun and relaxation, with all the amenities of home, including the latest in entertainment equipment. It is spacious, very clean, and the furnishings exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the nature trail on the property that leads to a picnic area and a beautiful waterfall.
The owners are most gracious and accommodating. This is not your average cabin rental, but it is very reasonably priced. It is a charming and beautiful place to stay.
Check in, and check it out!!!
