Lower Manhattan Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Apartment, Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

If you want to live like a true downtown Greenwich Village New Yorker, this pied a terre walkup in the West Village is for you.

Charming, bright, spotless and well-equipped with all the amenities you would need and then some. The neighborhood speaks for itself – if you know NYC, it needs no further explanation.

We spend a lot of time just walking around it and have compiled a fairly thorough list of what to do and where to eat and drink, etc. in the area. We've also got a file folder brimming with local menus and attractions and would love to suggest our favorite places for delicious foods, artisanal cocktails, unique shopping items, new hideaways and speakeasys we've discovered, you name it.

It's the best location in town and definitely the quietest (remembering you are in the Big Apple after all!). Perfect for a couple interested in exploring NYC. It is also a perfect choice if you have to combine work with play. The 2 office desks and 3 computers (fully loaded with apps - ask!) with printer and all the requisite office supplies will make your business travel transition seamless.

There's always something going on in the Village -- street fairs, parades, poetry readings, off-broadway plays. This bright and historic apartment is just steps from The Cherry Lane Theatre, The Barrow Street Theatre, The Lucille Lortel, historic Christopher Street and a multitude of adorable cafes, shops, restaurants and enclosed parks. Easy walks to the new beautiful High-Line, The meatpacking district, Soho, NYU area and straight across town to the fun and funky East Village. Nearby subways include the A*, the L (crosstown) and the 1 trains.

After a day of walking the streets of Manhattan, you can relax in the shared inner courtyard (pictured) in your own semi-private world and chat down the day's events.

This is the way to do NY and experience all the culture the West Village has to offer.

If you choose to pay by Paypal or any other fee-based payment processor, all associated fees are passed through to renter.

Additional key shipping charges above US Postal domestic rates will be passed through to renter and subtracted from security deposit upon check-out.

*The A is the train which becomes the Airtran at JFK so you can take it all the way to/from JFK airport for around $7.50

About The Owner

We are a bi-coastal (NY/LA) couple in the entertainment industry and enjoy both cities for work and play

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2008

Why The Owner chose Manhattan

We love NY and wouldn't consider living anywhere else but the West Village. With it, we ticked off one of the those things on the bucket list :)

What makes this apartment unique

We go out every day and night. We go to plays, events. We shop (probably too much). One never says 'I'm bored' in NYC. We love that we can eat and drink at any time of the day or night.

Happy Returning Guests

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in this lovely place for a second time. Cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our return visit. The owner even expedited a renovation in the apartment in time for our booking dates, and everything was picture perfect when we arrived. We truly love staying in this place.

Hope to come back again and again!

Fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this excellent apartment for a little over a week, and absolutely loved it. It was truly one of our best VRBO experiences to date (and we have quite a few to compare). The location couldn't be better - truly an ideal West Village spot. Some of the best shops and restaurants in the city are mere steps away, but the apartment is on a quiet street and away from the hustle. The owner is wonderful - prompt, organized and accommodating. The apartment was spotless, very well kept, and came stocked with everything you could possibly want. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, and definitely hope to stay here again in the future. Thanks!

Amazing apartment in West Village - Highly, highly recommend!

  • 5 of 5

I just spent a great week in West Village with a friend in this apartment! Location couldn't be better - close to metro, little restaurants, cafe's, small boutiques and still in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

The property is exactly as in pictures, if not even better. It was modern, beautiful and super clean - the bed was really comfortable! Bathroom was modern and white with hairdryer etc. Owner was very friendly and gave us good tips on where to eat, shop and just relax over a cup a coffee.

This is an amazing way to experience New York - living in a vibrant local area within a walking distance to SoHo, Nolita and TriBeCa and easy reach to Midtown buzz.

We're definitely staying at this place on our future visits and will warmly recommend this to our friends!

Perfect New York Base

  • 5 of 5

This apartment has so much going for it.

Perhaps most importantly it has maybe the most convinient location possible in the City. Only 5-10 minutes walk from Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, East Village, SoHo...and it is in the middle of the suprisingly idylic West Village (given that this is NYC). It really is a great place to be for a holiday.

In addition to the location, the apartment itself is excellent. Large, clean, and is well furnished and comfortable. We found the kitchen good to cook meals in (good stove, adequate preparation area, great knives).

Renting an apartment via VRBO can leave you a little bit hesitant prior to reaching the apartment, and then in actually living at the rental. Let me assure you that the owner is honest, friendly and extremely helpful.

We stayed for one month and found it a great way to discover NYC. Given the area I think it would be quite good for any period of time (it is quite easy and quick to get uptown, downtown, and to Brooklyn from nearby subway stops).

We would certainly try to stay here again when in New York.

A Furnished Piece of Heaven in the West Village

  • 5 of 5

I'm an LA spoken word artist/musician, and when I was slated to be in New York for a series of performances I wanted to find a place to stay that was not only located in a vibrant part of the city, but also felt comfortable and conducive to creativity. I most definitely found it in this apartment. Although I've performed in the city many times over the years--and have spent time in various parts of the city--I've never had the occasion to spend much time in the West Village. This apartment allowed me that opportunity. It's conveniently located near amazing coffee shops, restaurants, gyms, yoga studios, transportation, you name it. This rental has it all. It's clean, furnished, has computers, anything and everything for those looking to work or simply get away from it all. My only regret was that my hectic schedule didn't permit me more time to simply hang out in the rental, and gaze out the window at the picturesque trees, buildings and street. A real must stay for anyone looking for a NYC rental!
