Tenderfoot Lodge Luxury 3BR - Walk to Lift - Hot Tubs - Garage

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,600 sq. ft.
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 5 nights

About the property

Large Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

$12,000 in upgrades last year! New carpet, paint, and washer/dryer. Walk to the Peru Express lift and ski school from this exceptional property for the discriminating visitor. Decorated with Kincaid art, and with a KING bed in the master bedroom, our vacation home at Tenderfoot Lodge is right at the foot of Keystone Mountain, 400 yards from the 'Peru Express' chairlift. And in summer, the bike path between River Run and The Village passes in front of the lodge, making this an ideal base from which to enjoy your Summit County winter or summer vacation.

There are 3 large bedrooms, the master has a king bed and each of the other two bedrooms has a queen AND a twin bed, so 8 people can sleep in beds. There are 2 full bathrooms with jetted tubs. Please note, in order to keep this unit in exceptional condition, we do not allow dogs or smoking.

This condominium was built in 1997, and is the largest in Tenderfoot, at over 1600 square feet. Views from the two private south-facing balconies overlook the lower slopes of Keystone Mountain, the Snake River, and Buffalo Mountain to the west.

From the living room and the kitchen the view is South-west over the Snake River to Buffalo Mountain, and the central courtyard of the complex and its two large outdoor hot-tubs.

The furnishings are in keeping with the mountain west style of the complex. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, and has its own full bathroom attached. The bath is a jacuzzi. The other two bedrooms share a second full bathroom - also with a jacuzzi tub.

The living room has a large screen smart TV, a VCR, DVD and CD player. The dining table seats six; and the full-length bar has seating for an additional four.

There is a gas log fire in the living room. The rest of the unit is heated by centrally piped hot water radiators. Humidifiers are also provided.

The condo has its own laundry closet containing a new in 2014 washer and dryer, so you can always have warm dry skiwear, irrespective of how many times you fall in the snow!

There is a heated underground parking garage, (free of charge) and elevators take you directly up from the garage. The condominium is on the third floor - which enhances the views.

In addition to the outdoor hot tubs and barbecue area, the lodge itself features a very large community lounge with an ultra-large TV and various games.

Free high speed internet with both ethernet outlet in the condo and wifi throughout the complex is provided.

There are many restaurants within one-half mile of the condominium; and the resort's frequent free shuttle buses can take you the mile to Keystone Village or River Run, as well as Silverthorne, Dillon, Frisco or Breckenridge.

We know you will enjoy our 'home away from home' at Keystone. In the last year, 80% of our guests were repeats. Our weekly rates are about 50% of commercial operators. Please note that in order to maintain this unit in pristine condition, first time guests will be required to provide a refundable security deposit.

Please call or send an email to learn more. Once you have stayed at Tenderfoot, you will be back!

About The Owner

I have lived in Denver since 1984, and owned Summit County property since 1989. I enjoy skiing in the winter, and hiking in the summer, and you may also find me flying over the mountains at weekends.

The Owner purchased this condo in 1997

Why The Owner chose Keystone

Top Five Reasons For Renting From Me Instead Of From A Property Management Company:

1. On average, you will pay 50% less booking with me than with a management company.

2. What you see is what you get - you will not be moved to a "comparable or better unit" at the whim of a management company who manages multiple units in different buildings.

3. Ease of check in. Keys are mailed to you in advance, so that you can check in at your leisure. You do not have to find an out of the way office, which will probably be closed anyway when you arrive, nor wait in line.

4. The condo will be well stocked, with a selection of cold condiments in the refrigerator and spices, sugar, salt and pepper etc in the cabinets. Management companies strip condos bare on changeover, I don't.

5. You are staying in my personal home, not a "rental unit". As such, it is likely better taken care of and has more personal touches.

What makes this condo unique

Great views year round, in summer, you can hear the river. Walking/bike path right out back enables you to get to 'The Village' without going on a road. Footbridge across river makes Peru Express lift less than 400yds from condo. Within the complex, the condo is close to elevator but down its own private hallway so no-one comes past the unit. Artwork in keeping with mountain location. If you want to get away from the kids, there is a huge communal great room with 74' TV on the ground floor!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed the time at your condo, our two daughters enjoyed it immensely.

Excellent Spring Break family accomodations.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed 5 nights with wife and our 3 boys. Great beds, and roomy condo. Appreciated lots of dishes, plenty of towels and full size washer/dryer. Excellent location, only 5 min walk to lift.

Ski school right at end of walk. Beautiful view of mountains and slopes. Layout maintains an open feel, which allows the group to spread out in the unit for some "space" when needed. Heated parking a big plus, as were hot tubs.

Owner was excellent to work with and provided good suggestions regarding our lift tickets that saved us a lot.

Would rent again and recommend to others.

Great cozy condo!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I had a great time here at Tenderfoot Lodge! Close enough to the Peru express lift to walk. Everything you would need to stay a week in someone else's home. Just bring clothes and ski gear! Very nice to come to the condo after a long and exhausting day on the slopes and relax in the hot tub or on the very comfy couch. Very relaxed atmosphere which was fine for us because skiing and snowboarding all day can be exhausting and it is nice to have a quiet place to relax.

We stayed here Thanksgiving 2015 and had the most wonderful stay. 7 people. This place is huge, 1600 sq feet and you can easily sleep 10 comfortably with the pull out sofa. Everything about this condo is awesome! For me the best part was the master bed. There is nothing better than sinking into the most comfortable bed. I believe the bed has a memory foam topper. Made for a great nights sleep all week. The master bath has a jetted tub. Loved that too. Kids and husband went down to hot tubs each night. Really nice to have at the end of a long day on the slopes.

The owners of this unit have thought of everything. It is so well stocked. They had coffee, coco, and even spices in the kitchen for our use. All things I brought, but it was nice to know they were there and offered. This unit even has 2 crockpots. Wow, nothing better than throwing dinner into it in the morning and coming back after a long day on the slopes to a piping hot dinner. I cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimming in this kitchen. As a matter of fact we never ate out all week. The fridge even had condiment's for our use. They have plenty of pillows, blankets and towels too. Very well stocked. Sleds for the kids and a grill on the deck.

I could go on and on, but this is a WONDERFUL property and you will not be disappointed if you stay here. The owner is so nice, kind, easy to deal with and flexible. He made our stay great and we will definitely go back here for sure. I forgot my reading glasses and he mailed the back to me within a couple of days. The owner of this unit truly cares about his guest and that they have everything they need for a great vacation. We highly recommend this unit. The owner deserves your business and you will be happy to write a review like mine after your stay. Amie

Summer in Keystone

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent the summer of 2015 in this unit. It is spacious and comfortable. It has everything you need for your stay. The view is spectacular of the Mountain House Ski Area from the large balcony that can seat six very comfortably. You can listen to the soothing sound of the Snake River just behind the property. The bike/walking trail system is right behind the unit and it can take you to Dillon, Silverthorne, Frisco, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Vail. The underground parking was a nice plus. Although it is right next to Hwy. 6 there was no road noise. The property is located equal distance from River Run Village and Lakeside Village, just 3/4 mile in either direction. The owner was always available VIA email and he kept us up-to-date on any building maintenance that was going on during our stay. There is something going on in the area daily with festivals every weekend. We are looking forward to returning in 2016.

Christmas in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful Christmas here with our family. The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our group. It is quite a walk to the ski area, so we drove and parked on the second day. However, the view of the slopes is lovely, and the fireplace keeps it very warm! We enjoyed the hot tubs, and covered parking. Would definitely recommend this home for a ski vacation!
