Fantastic Vacation Property
We just returned from Fishbones, and we absolutely loved it. The property was well kept. Clean water was not a problem. The outside view was amazing. The pool was a plus. Here's the thing- pay attention to "their holidays". We arrived on a Sunday later than we had planned due to airport issues. There were few grocery stores open at the time of our arrival. The next day was a holiday and most things were closed, so we could not get groceries until Tuesday. We have stayed in the area of 7 Mile Beach several times, so we thought we would try the other side of the island. We are so glad we did. We did travel twice to 7 Mile Beach and realized it is not that far at all. Driving on the left side of the road is not bad, and you get used to the "round-a-bouts". Our family absolutely enjoyed our vacation, and would most definitely go again.
If you want some privacy and elegance this is your place! The house design is immaculate and conducive to families or parties of 6. The grill, hammock and pool with snorkeling down a few steps is awesome. Swim up beach very close to recline and great view of sunrise and sunsets out on the ledge. Loved it.
Beautiful house! We really enjoyed our stay!
We had a great time exploring... day 1 relaxed at home at the pool, day 2: Star Fish point/Kaibo for lunch and Rum Point for afternoon, day 3 relaxed at home and Tuka for dinner, day 4 got free snorkel gear from silverthatch and went to swim with sea turtles at Spotts beach and found conch shells along the shore then went to see the blow holes on the way home, day 5 went to Georgetown to explore and the went on Rum Distillery tour and dinner on the water to watch the sunset, day 6 boat trip to swim with stingrays and snorkel then lunch at kaibo again and afternoon relax at home, day 7 relax at home and dinner at the Italian Kitchen. Weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed being away from the crowds on seven mile beach.
Lovely Private Villa
The villa was immaculate and all of the appliances were working. The villa appears exactly as it is represented in the photos. It has a beach motif and is well decorated. The outdoor pool was great and it automatically illuminates at night. The villa has a screened-in-porch with a nice view of the sea. Rolland who is the property manager is very nice and extremely responsive to any questions or needs. Since the villa is on the east end of the island, it is quiet and private. The entire house has a/c which worked perfectly. There is a large mounted flat screen TV in the living room which received the three major US channels. Their internet worked well. The only minor critique is that the main bedroom mattress was very soft. We highly recommend this villa to folks that are looking for peaceful relaxing vacation.
Very private, beautiful home. Kitchen is well stocked with great applicances. Amazing view!!! I wish the bed in the master bedroom had been a little more comfortable, but the view made up for it. We would highly recommend this place.
The pictures and discription of the property are 100% correct
My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing and quiet week at Fishbones. The pool, the screened in porch and the hammock were excellent spots to hang out and read. The house was very clean, had everything you needed for cooking, and the outdoor grill was well maintained and clean.
Fishbones is sited up on a bluff overlooking the clear reef-protected waters. The snorkeling here is fantastic, as few people have access. There is never much of a current, so swimming is safe.
Our guests have seen eagle rays swimming in the shallows as well as the "Christmas Manta" occasionally. Access to the water is by concrete stairs ot the dock above the water. The last 3 steps are cut into the ironshore and you step (even barefoot) directly into the water onto soft white sand.
There is a small beach about 100 yards to the east that you can sunbathe on...but by swimming over only!
