Perfect home to enjoy in all seasons! Located on Okemo mountain, our house is less than a 5 minute drive to the base lodge and all the amenities of Jackson Gore, all without every having to leave the mountain.
This is the perfect house for spreading out and entertaining, easily accommodating two families. There is a fully stocked kitchen, living area (each with TV & DVR) and bath on each floor.
The first floor has a game area with bumper pool, foosball and slot machine. A woodburning stove is in this living room. A sliding glass door takes you out to the back yard where you can enjoy a campfire in the pit. Washer, dryer and two bedrooms complete this floor. One bedroom with a single set of bunks and a second with two sets of bunks. Additionally there is a bath with a full-sized tub.
The second floor living living area has a fireplace, dining room (easily seats 10) and opens out to a large deck to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail. You will find a second fully stocked eat-in kitchen on this floor. Two additional bedrooms with queen-sized beds and bath with full- sized tub. Stairs will lead you up to the loft with two additional queen-sized beds.
For your Summer and Fall pleasure. . . Within a short driving distance you will find Weston, with the Vermont Country Store and Weston Playhouse. Some of the best outlet shopping in Manchester, antiquing, festivals and farmer's markets all along Route 100.
Even closer to home you can enjoy an afternoon at a first class spa at Jackson Gore or The Castle in nearby Proctorsville. Jackson Gore also has weekly outdoor concerts and new 'Timber Ripper' roller coaster. There are hiking trails all over the mountain, including our favorite, the Healdville Trail which takes you all the way to the fire station at the top of Okemo, with picnic areas along the way. For water sports, there is Buttermilk Falls to take a dip, as well as the beach at Lake Rescue with picnic areas. Rent a canoe or kayak for the day on this beautiful lake.
For more adventure there is the Thrill Zone on Bromley Mountain, or rent a mountain bike and take the gondola up to the top of Killington and bike down.

About Cndy Stoneking
We are a skiing family, living in NJ. Some of our favorite vacations have been family ski trips. It was only after buying this house that we found how much Vermont has to offer in the summer.
Cndy Stoneking purchased this House in 2000
Why Cndy Stoneking chose Ludlow
We never considered any other place in VT. We have been skiing here since the 1970's. It was only after buying our home we discovered that it is truly a four season place to go. Something is always going on within an easy drive. Having a town like Ludow right at the bottom of the mountain is a definite plus.
What makes this House unique
We are on a 2 1/2 acre wooded lot on a peaceful cul-de-sac. Located on the mountain, it is an easy drop into town if you need to. At the end of the ski day you can avoid all town traffic because of our on mountain location.

What a great place! Can't wait to go there again!!
Hopefully it will become a family tradition that we will spend every Christmas at this location. The house literally has everything needed. Even gear in case someone forgot or lost a glove or a hat :))) I do not believe it was mentioned anywhere but it also has a boot drying racks installed. Amazing!!! Location itself is less than 5 min drive from the mountain. We did 4 solid days and took full advantage of great conditions. Place itself is charming and secluded which adds to overall ambiance. Inside well furnished and comfy. Games games games for evening family fun (we hosted a football tourney lol!!) Host was easy to communicate with and responsive. We made some special requests which were easily accommodated. I'm not a guy that typically writes reviews but this place deserves one. We made some amazing memories. Will be checking hosts calendar for 2018 for sure!
From Magda and Rafal:
Our Christmas stay at your place felt amazing. Needles to say, the house was equipped with everything we needed for our family stay. The wood finish of the house along with the warmth of the fireplace made for the unbelievably good time filled with lots of laughs along the way and sleepless nights ;)
We enjoyed every minute at your place and will try to make it a staple each and every year!
Ps. not to mention the convenience of the short distance to the mountain!! which made up for some awesome snowboarding and skiing experience!!
Rafal and Magda!
Very good time
Great place for family and friends. Very close to Okemo mt.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Hope to hear from you again.
Exactly as advertised
We brought our high school soccer team up for a bonding trip. We played paintball (not in the house!), went cliff-jumping and mountain biking, played mini-golf, and had a great time. The house was perfect for our group -- cozy for hanging out, but big enough so everyone had enough space. Thanks for helping us have a great time!
Our two families of 5 got together for a weekend and had room to spare! Cindy was super-responsive and accommodated us with everything we needed for a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable time. Outside fire pit and wood - check! Two stocked kitchens - check! Grill - check! Foosball and pool tables - check! Quiet and tucked away, but very close to Okemo, restaurants, shops, grocery store, etc. Would definitely come back.
Wonderful home in woods.
Home was plenty roomy. Bumper pool each night before bed. Lots of trails nearby for hiking. Buttermilk falls nice place to cool off or jump off rocks. Ludlow is a nice little town. Hope to return again during winter with skiers and or back in the summer to hike some more of the trails. We all enjoyed are trip and stay in this home.
Scott, thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. I hope that you do come back for another visit!
