This restored country home sits in the Alexander Valley near the famous Jimtown store, and looks across to and around vineyards. Just 7 minutes from Central Healdsburg, many wineries are nearby such as Fieldstone, White Oak, Sausal and Hanna, and Calistoga is within a 20 minute drive.
As you drive up to the home you will notice how the owners involved the surroundings in its color scheme and design. Literally restored from the studs, this home has many quality features such as hardwood flooring, updated modern kitchen, and modern bathrooms.
Sitting on an acre of property, our guests can walk in the back half where fruit trees and gardens grow, including vegetable and herb gardens, or take advantage of the deck and patio with bbq and hot tub. Also convenient is the Jimtown store, where you can walk over for coffee, scones, or a gourmet treat.
Walking through the double glassed doors, you enter the living room and great room area. This home has a wide open floor plan, where kitchen, dining room, living room and TV/Entertainment areas all flow into one another, but are furnished very separately.
Then continuing down a hallway, you will find three bedrooms, with two queen beds and two twin beds, and two full bathrooms. Just off the living room area is a hot tub, placed for convenience and privacy, where you can sit and wrap up your day in comfort. SCP# 387

My wife and I stayed at Jimtown house with another couple during MemorialDay weekend. We loved the peaceful country setting that felt miles away but with the convenience of a country store/restaurant right next door. We would roll out of bed and a few steps later we were enjoying a tasty breakfast with great coffee and hot tea options.
We enjoyed picking herbs out of the garden to use for cooking. We shared simple meals on the deck overlooking the garden.
There was a plum tree with perfectly ripe fruit that was delicious.
The house was perfect for us. Nothing fancy but spacious and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen including All Clad cookware. There is even a piano for sing alongs.
Six miles up the road you will find Big John's Market which has the best selection of delicious prepared food anywhere.
There are a couple of tasting rooms that are a short walk and high end vineyard/wineries within a short drive.
We all agreed to stay there during our next visit.
The house had good size bedrooms each with queen size beds that were very comfortable. The third bedroom had two twin beds, again both were comfortable. The master bathroom was quite large and the second bathroom was spacious as well. There was plenty of extra bedding, towels in closets in addition to what was laid out. The kitchen had good appliances and a full array of cookware, utensils, glasses, dishes, silverware etc. We cooked two breakfasts and two dinners during our 4 day stay. The dinning area was a large table directly across an island like table at the edge of the kitchen and could accomodate about 8 people. The rest of the great room had a sitting area across from a fireplace and another sitting area for watching TV (TV could use an upgrade to large screen as we watched some Stanley Cup playoffs). Backyard entrance is in front of a garden with grape vines and lots of different herb plants and small trees. Flowering bushes throughout the property. Cooked one dinner on the propane barbecue on the side porch and had two light nights in the hot tub out there as well. Finally the location was good (essentially right next to the Jimtown Store) with easy access to lots of wineries in all the valley areas. Everything was clean and well maintained. I would recommend staying here to all my friends and relatives. Only possible minor negative might be some road noise from Rt 128 in the master bedroom at the front of the house if you leave the windows open. It never stopped me from falling asleep though!! Overall a real nice place. We had a great stay and would come back again.
We were utterly surprised when we saw the house. It is beautiful, would call it French country charm.
We totally recommend it and personally want to go vacation there again ASAP. Only 10 minutes away from downtown Healdsburg with super restaurants.
TO HPM OFFICE: Exit Central Healdsburg from Hwy 101. Continue northbound on Healdsburg Avenue and make a right on Piper Street in approx. 6 blocks. Make a left on Center, and just passed the Bank of America parking lot, Healdsburg Property Management is at 513 Center Street on the left.
Directly to property: Continue north on 101 and exit at Lytton Springs/Alexander Valley Road. Make a right off freeway and another right on Healdsburg Avenue. In about 1/2 - 3/4 mile make a left on Alexander Valley road. Cross the Russian River, and continue straight after making a stop at the stop sign by Alexander Valley store. You're almost there, just about 1/2 mile. Look for Alexander Valley church, and next driveway is The Jimtown House.
