Looking for a vacation rental on the Big Island? This high-end Townhome has it all: four bedrooms (including two master suites), three covered lanais, and access to a beautiful 2-acre Recreation Center.

Our duplex Townhome exudes Hawaiian charm from the moment you walk in. Every room is outfitted with Polynesian-inspired furniture and local artwork and red accents pop against the otherwise neutral decor. The atmosphere is at once sophisticated and inviting.

The house boast two master bedrooms, on separate floors, both have en-suite bathrooms. The third room has one queen-size bed, and the fourth bedroom has a king and an extra long twin. In all, the house sleeps nine people comfortably.

You enter a great room with a flat-screen TV, as well as a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless appliances. WiFi is included.

The upper lanai features a barbecue and is connected to the great room by glass pocket doors that disappear into the wall when open. The lanai feels like an extension of the great room and offers expansive views of Mauna Kea, Kohala Mountains, as well as glimpses of the Mauna Lani golf course, and distant ocean views.

One of the biggest perks is the nearby Recreation Center. It spans nearly 2+ acres, including a lap pool, children's pool and large free style pool with separate hot tub. The center also includes a work out building (not room) with free weights and the latest weight machines. This building has men's and women's locker rooms with granite sinks and showers. There is a covered pavilion with kitchen, BBQ, refrigerator and sink. Access is free to our guests - the perfect place to host parties or just hang out.

When you are ready to hit the sand, grab your beach towels (furnished) and head to the gated private beach club. It has private parking, which we supply a gate pass card for your entry. You park next to the restaurant, which is adjacent to the sandy beach. It is less crowded than the public beaches, less noisy and cleaner. The beach has a calm cove excellent for snorkeling, life guards, rental equipment and lounge chairs.

Other area attractions include the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and the Fairmont Orchid Hotel, both 5 stars, within walking distance and offer access to our guests.

There is a shopping mall within walking distance with a small gourmet market (Foodland), with deli, freshly made sushi and bakery. There are a number of fine restaurants, including Ruth's Chris, Tommy Bahamas, Monstera, Just Tacos, Kimo Bean Coffee and Juice 66. There is weekly free entertainment, art galleries, boutiques, and gift shops.

The pool area for KaMilo is one of the largest in the Mauna Lani Resort with a large workout room and separate lap pool. The home is within walking distance of the Fairmont Orchid Hotel, the Mauna Lani Hotel ,an upscale grocery store, and shopping. Renters will be able to use the Mauna Lani Beach Club and access private parking. The beach area provides gentle sandy beaches for young children, clear water and uncrowded surfing. The community is great for running, biking, tennis and golf . The KaMilo community is a secured gated community.

Beautiful home in a great location

We just had a great vacation with our family of 7 to celebrate my young moms 80th birthday.

The townhouse is wonderful and the pictures are just a teaser for how nice to place actually is.

When you walk in the door you will just say wow!

I really liked all the great art work through out. All the furniture is wonderful and there's lots of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Just go down the street to the awesome Foodland store and you'll have everything you could want to have fun cooking. If you like to grill out there is a nice gas grill on the Lanai. I did 20 lamb chops one night and that was a big hit. If you'd rather eat out there are tons of options within minutes.

We really loved the private pool, make that 2 pools and 2 hot tubs, that are just steps away. Then theres the private Beach Club. Need I say more. Great spot with great food and service and you can walk down the coast line pretty much by yourself. They have every water toy for rent but you don't have too because you will have a garage full of toys. SUPs, surf boards, snorkel gear, bikes, coolers, etc. We loved it!

I have to give a shout out to the management team. They are great and helped us with whatever we needed.

This place is a great find.

Excellent choice for a perfect stay

We loved this villa. It fit our party of 9 (6 adults, 3 children) perfectly. The furniture and decor of the villa were lovely and it was very well equipped for anything we wanted to do like cooking indoors and outdoors, making cocktails, watching tv or Red Box dvds, and loads and loads of laundry. The garage was well stocked with bikes and plenty of beach stuff including chairs, umbrellas, coolers, snorkeling gear, body boards, and even a couple of paddle boards. That alone saved us tons of money in rental fees!

The Mauna Lani resort is absolutely gorgeous. The Kamilo subdivision where this villa is located is beautiful and quiet with a nice gym and lovely pool area. It is just around the corner from the Fairmont Hotel and also within Mauna Lani is a beautiful private beach, a small shopping center, and a championship golf course.

You will not go wrong with this one!

Fantastic Home Ideally Located in Kona!

This is just a stunning home near the Mauna Lani Resort. We were originally hesitant about booking this place because it was a "townhouse" but it truly looked and felt like a spacious house in a quiet neighborhood and nothing like a duplex. Our two related families with six kids ranging from 10 to 17 years old stayed for seven nights and never felt cramped or bored, especially with so many amenities available including a huge pool and fitness center just around the corner, access to the private Mauna Lani Beach (awesome snorkeling) and a garage full of paddle boards, boogie boards, bikes, snorkeling gear, etc. (We brought our own snorkeling equipment so don't know what condition the equipment in the garage was in). The entire house had tiled flooring which we all loved--it helped keep the house cool and clean. The property manager Kai was a pleasure to deal with: from letting us check in early to bringing over a missing access card to the private beach to getting the air conditioner fixed promptly to getting us a late check out (super helpful when your plane didn't leave till 8pm). Ideally, we wanted a place with an ocean view but honestly, we didn't miss it because the natural and lush scenic view from the huge sliding glass doors leading to the lanai was just so peaceful and lovely. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Kona...MAHALO from your Colorado and California guests!

Beautiful house!

THe house was amazing and handled our extended family on vacation well. The chef in our crew loved the kitchen, the kids loved their rooms, and the beach was AMAZING. A little bit of a drive to town, but a gorgeous place. My only issue was that I found the property manager to be a little less than on top of their game. When we arrived, there seemed to be a leak in one of the bathrooms. THe property manager took care of it promptly, sending someone to look at it while we were out for the day. We returned and could not tell if the person had been there, so I called about an hour after we got back, and was told to not have anyone use one of the other two bathrooms, because the plumber had recaulked. (Would have been good to know right away, since that was the most used restroom.). Then we received our email about check out procedures with the wrong date, (Check out for Saturday, not Sunday.). I called and the gentleman was nice, said he would fix it. But then, on Saturday while we are out and about, I get a call asking why we hadn't vacated the property. I forwarded the property manager the paperwork showing Sunday as check out. He apologized and in the end everything worked out, but it was a bit annoying to have to ask for an update on the bathroom and have to deal with the check out date multiple times. IN the end the manager was responsive, friendly and polite, he just didn't seem to have the follow through and attention to detail I would expect. But our stay was good and our whole family had a great time.

Incredible home for large family

We traveled to Big Island from May 25-June 1, 2017 and it was perfect. There were 9 of us family members, all adults. James was helpful from the very beginning when we had some difficulty finding Kamilo as it was really late when we landed. He was easily accessible. The home itself was beautiful- an open layout and the pics don't do it justice. It was definitely enough space of all of us to comfortably fit. The kitchen had all of the essential cookware and more than enough dishware. The bedrooms were large. The lanai was the best part- beautiful view and a perfect napping spot. The Mauna Lani resort has plenty of shopping and restaurants and the best ice cream! The Mauna Lani beach club was also easily accessible with the pass and had great snorkeling.

The location is excellent as this is about a 10 min drive from Hapuna beach which is the best beach on the island. There are also plenty of other beautiful beaches within a 10-15 min drive.

We had an amazing time and highly recommend this property! Can't wait to go back!

Amazing stay, amazing home

We loved our stay at this KaMilo property. Located just steps from the pool, jacuzzi and rec center... a garage filled with sand toys & beach chairs... clean and well-appointed kitchen.... huge master bathroom.... nice little yard out back.... 1 minute drive to Foodland market and the nearby shops... and a close drive to fantastic beaches (eg, Hapuna). The management company was also incredibly easy to deal with and very helpful. We will return!
