Casa Perro is a beautiful penthouse condominium located on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit boasts a king master suite with adjoining bath, a queen bedroom and 3rd bedroom with 2 full beds and shared bathroom. The best part of the condo is the large balcony where you can enjoy breakfast and coffee while watching whales and dolphins swim across the bay. After breakfast, load up the cooler and head down to the beach and pool for a day in the sun. Or spend the day exploring Old Town or the Malecon and the art galleries. Evenings can be spent enjoying one of the many excellent Vallarta restaurants, or eating in and relaxing on the balcony watching the sunset.

We are retired, with a son in college and a grown daughter. We enjoy jet boating, fishing, classic cars, and playing with our two dogs.
Bob purchased this condo in 1998
Our family is Montana-born, but we just love the warm weather, beach and ocean that Puerto Vallarta provides. Our son was young when we began visiting PV, and it was such a great place for our family to spend time together. We actually lived in PV for 2 years while our son attended kindergarten and first grade there. We love a lot of things about PV....there are great restaurants, fun shopping, beach activities. We love some of the outer areas such as Nuevo Vallarta, Sayulita, and Punta Mita. After a day of these various activities, it is great to come home to our condo, which is located a short distance from the busyness of town, on a quiet beach that is relaxing and peaceful.
The best aspect of Casa Perro is its location on a beautiful, mostly private beach and a fantastic view of the ocean. We enjoy beginning each morning with a cup of coffee, out on the balcony, watching for whales and seeing the local fisherman pulling in their nets. We usually end the day in the same place with a glass of wine, watching the sunset over the ocean and the fireworks from town. Our beach is furnished with palapas and lounge chairs. The pool area is large, also with lounge chairs and tables. The beach is white sand, accented by boulders. Snorkeling is good. The condo is only a few miles from Old Town Vallarta, a quick taxi ride or bus ride to town, both of which are available on the main road which is a 3 minute walk from our building. Old Town is our favorite part of town and is loaded with restaurants, shopping, clubs, and beaches. The streets and architecture remain old Mexican style. Very charming!
Another perfect vacation on the South Side. This is our fourth stay at Bob & Jeri's wonderful penthouse condo. The vista from the top floor deck is unbeatable. You will spend many hours wondering what you will see next. Multi-million dollar yachts, the local fishing boats, or breaching whales? Nightime offers the eerie underwater lights of spear fishermen below and the nightly fireworks shows to the north. If the pace is too slow, a quick bus ride into town (or anywhere else around the bay) can bring you unforgettable adventures. Thanks again to our very accomodating hosts. Hope we will be there again this winter.
What a wonderful place to spend a week! The view was beautiful, condo was clean and comfortable. Hearing the ocean waves all night made it easy to forget our worries. Very easy to get to the beach and ride the bus or taxi to town. All the people we met were very friendly and helpful, we felt very safe. We also enjoyed some great tours from Vallarta Adventures.
We really enjoyed this place! Our strategy in PV was spend a few days near the Malecon, then a few days somewhere more peaceful...this was one of our peaceful places. I recommend walking north to Blanca Blue (beachside restaurant) as well as south to the next complex's beachside restaurant (don't recall the name). Thanks for the great stay!
Our stay was entirely wonderful. The condo is lovely, the view is expansive, the owners are accomodating and personable. We immediately felt at home and settled in for a month of exploring new towns, new restaurants and old familiar haunts. We hope to return to PV in general and to this condo in particular. Thank you Bob & Jeri.
Puerto Vallarta is one of the most special places in Mexico to be. The people are "diffent", really concerned about pleasing their visitors. And, if you're going there, you might as well have a super place to stay. Bob and Jerri's condo is it. What a penthouse with about every emenity you could want. Sit on the outside balconies and watch whales, dolphins, yachts and water taxis on the largest, deep waterPacific bay in all the Americas. There are spotter scopes and binoculars to use. A completly modern kitchen, A/C's --- just about everything we could think we wanted. It's got to be at least 1,300 square feet. Open, spacious with a dome (with windows on it's side) above the dining room table about 25' feet in the air. Washer and dryer. Everything to make you feel relaxed in a tropical Mexican atmosphere. Enjoy your stay. We sure did and will be returning as soon as we can.
We were expecting something smaller from the photos and were delighted by the great sense of space. Two of the bedrooms are huge and the third is a good size. It feels like a home, with every amenity that you can imagine, including picnic baskets, coolers, reliable high speed, plenty of beach towels...I could go on and on. Jeri's and Bob's friend met us with the key when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. The apartment feels extremely safe. The pool was divine and not crowded at all, even though it was still Christmas holiday season in Mexico. The beach had pale sand, finer than other places that we've been near by. Although we had rented a car, I also took the bus into Vallarta one day. It was a quick trip and very simple. Jeri had left extensive instructions on everything from "how to take the bus" to "how to choose street food", the latter which led us to one of the best meals we had in Vallarta. Thanks, Jeri and Bob. We hope to get back soon.
