About Bordeenuch Sirinunnapat

My name is Bordeenuch Sirinunnapat but you can call me Bree.I am 34 years old I live in Richmond about 10 years with my husband (his name is Sonny / 37 yrs). His family live in USA about 20 years. Our nationality is Thai.

His Family has a Thai restaurant business in Cary Town "Mom's Siam" (2811 W.Cary street) about 18 years now. If you love Thai food :) and also we open our own American fine dine with concept small plate around the workd call Piknik at 2301 W. Main Street ( 6 blocks from apartment)

Sonny and I love to travel around and cooking. We also live in Byrd Park as well. Our house is 5 min drive from our apartment that we listed. We love our neighborhood. It is not the best area but we are happy to live in the park and convenience for us to go hang out in Fan and downtown. We go to Thailand almost every year to visit my parent in Bangkok

Bordeenuch Sirinunnapat purchased this apartment in 2012

Why Bordeenuch Sirinunnapat chose Byrd Park

We bought this house from auction in August 2012 and used to live here. Beside restaurant business our family also do a rental property around VCU and byrd park. After we moved to another house in Byrd Park. We thought is spot is a good spot to do rental vacation. Not too quite and not too crowded. It will fit with guest that have a lot of energy like us to walk around and explore my old town with ppl.

What makes this apartment unique

We love this apartment because it is pretty close to lake and park just 3 blocks walk and also convenient to walk to Cary town (25 min walk / and VMFA (museum : 15 min walk) close by to Fan district (15 Min walk from footbridge at front of apartment) a lot of restaurant and bar. Old and needs a lot of work

  • 1 of 5

The people are very nice, but the home needs work. The Mattresses are not comfortable. No bars of soap in the bathroom. One washcloth for 2 people for 4 days. Outside of home is bad. Steps has peeling paint and concrete. Junk in the backyard, grass not cut. On bus line and noisy at night. This home would be better as a low end rental and not a vacation rental

Not bad, not great.

  • 3 of 5

Great location, convenient to major road ways, not a far drive to Cary Street and close walking distance to restaurants. We stayed for two nights...overall it was okay. While the location was great, I really look for places to be a "home away from home." I have two children so it's important for us to have a comfortable, clean place. A fresh coat of paint would go a long way for this place. It's not the most updated apartment, so minor changes would really freshen this place up. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather this past weekend, so I went to open the windows as soon as we got there. There was quite a bit of dust on the blinds, window sills and kitchen fan.

I always look to see what amenities are included beforehand so that I don't have to run out after a long drive. It would have been nice to have a roll of paper towels. We did end up finding some napkins (probably from a previous guest) that got us through the first evening.

Due to it being an older home converted to apartments, the insulation and sound is probably difficult to fix. There were guests that arrived in the downstairs apartment on our second night. It must have been around 5 a.m. that they began packing to leave. It was so loud it felt like they were in the room beside us. The noise carried directly into the bedrooms. So not a pleasant way to be woken up on a Sunday morning after walking for hours the day/night before.

The water pressure in the shower isn't the best and could have been cleaner. The shelving unit beside the shower looked dusty and there is mold on the window sill in the shower. Not very appealing. The bathroom sink vanity is new and looks really nice.

Having a TV in the bedrooms is a plus since there isn't a "living/family room" space. It was great for my kids as they were falling asleep.

Nice play to stay

  • 4 of 5

This is a nice play to stay close to downtown Richmond and the Cary district. Plenty of room and comfort to stay in while traveling. The owners very willing to help with any questions. Not enough parking. Only parking is on street and limited. Vehicles can and will be towed at your expense!
