house in need of many repairs
This house was a far cry from any rental we have had in Sunriver in the 23 years we have been traveling to this beautiful location. The tub was clogged, the banister broken on the deck, there were cobwebs, holes in the doors, dust everywhere and the couches were dirty. I would not recommend this property
Disappointing and Unpleasant
We rented this house through Mt. Resort Properties, which in the past has been fine, but proved very disappointing this year. (Our 1st clue should've been at check in. The person checking out in front of us was asked if she enjoyed her stay. She said "No, it was not good this year". The lady at the front desk just said, "oh" and continued checking her out! Didn't ask why or what could have made her stay better.)
The house was outdated & dirty w/ a SERIOUS mold issue in the bathroom. Downstairs bathroom shower curtain was SO moldy that you could smell it throughout the entire downstairs. We had to throw it out, run to the store and grabbed a curtain liner to make do. Management wasn't apologetic, just seemed surprised. Additionally, in the two bathrooms in the house there was a total of three rolls of toilet paper. When we ran out management told us we had to buy our own toilet paper! Apparently they provide a "starter" amount, and you are on your own after that. THREE rolls of t.p. for a family staying 7 days/nights?! Didn't have this problem at past Mt.Resort rentals, but we stayed at a nicer house before; perhaps at a certain price point they pony up a few extra rolls of t.p.
The decks in both the front and back were unstable, lots of broken boards. The back deck has a downward stairwell to a garage which is hardly visible at night... twice we almost broke our necks almost falling into it. We ended up putting a plastic lawn chair across it to prevent further falls. The outdoor furniture is limited and uncomfortable. Plastic resin chairs that wobble with the slightest amount of weight. Three random chairs in the front deck and two on the back deck. If you're in SR to enjoy barbecues and socializing outside on the deck, this is not the house for you... particularly if you enjoy privacy: beware of the elusive renter who lives in the garage!! The garage is attached to the back deck... imagine our surprise when we saw a man coming in and out of the garage at random hours of the day. The garage must have a loft where this person stays, and the window overlooks the house's "private" deck and looks directly into the upstairs bedroom of the house. If you stay in the upstairs bedroom, be sure to keep the shades drawn when you change clothes! And if you're looking forward to the privacy of the fenced-in deck where you can sunbathe, forget it... the garage renter is right above you with the window looking right down at you.
