Great view and location
This is an older property (as many are in the area) that has been updated and well maintained. With a direct view of the Gulf, the location is convenient to dining and shopping. We will definitely stay there again.
Superb Location and View
We enjoyed this small condo. It was superbly located in Treasure Island with an outstanding access and view of the beach. The nice beach boardwalk is very pleasant. The South Beach Condo Hotel is very well kept and clean. The condo has all the amenities (including two beach chairs!) and is functional. It could use a new set of wine glasses, as they are only two wine glasses of different sizes. A small vacuum cleaner would also be very useful, particularly for those like us who stayed for two weeks. In sum, we would definitely recommend this condo if you like the beach and a nice quiet area.
What a view.....
-You will not find a better beach/ocean view. This is a top-floor condo with a fairly large balcony.
-The I-Trip property managers were very accommodating. Our six-year-old caught a stomach bug delaying our check-in by a day. While they couldn't offer a refund, they offered to extend our stay by a day.
-The condo was very quiet despite the building being mostly full.
-Most of the furniture and appliances appeared to be new-ish and were in good working order.
-Tastefully decorated. No clutter.
-The pool is small but warm and perfect for families with small children (4.5 ft is the the "deep end")
-Close to Publix, coffee shop, etc.
-The back of the building is where this property shines: a great concrete path for walking, jogging, biking Treasure Island, well-maintained grounds, two hammocks, shuffleboard, etc.
-The condo was clean except for a thick layer of dust on the bedroom end tables and dresser. It was odd because everything else appeared very clean. Floors were a bit sandy but, hey, you're on the beach with sliding glass doors.
-The bedroom mattress was pretty lumpy.
-One of the free activities (a sunset cruise) was no longer being offered.
-The lobby is super small and needs some upgrading as does the elevators.
-This is one of the widest beaches we've ever been on. It's a long walk to the water. Not a big deal to most but could be tough with little kids.
-This is no fault of the condo owner or building but Treasure Island is a bit too cramped, busy and touristy for our tastes. Gulf Blvd outside has a lot of traffic. Feels like you're on a highway. Nearby sleepy beach towns like Pass-A-Grille and Indian Rocks suited us better. It's on us though. We should have researched the area better.
Despite the cons, this is a great condo unit with unsurpassed views. It is excellent for a couple or small family. I-Trip was extremely attentive even though they are not on the property itself.
Treasure Island Spring Break
We loved staying in this condo so much last year, we came back for more. Excellent location, right on the beach & near everything. South Beach Condos keeps the grounds clean & tidy, and the owners of this condo have it well stocked. they close the front desk here at 5 or 6pm. Perfect for us, as we felt at home & didnt need for anything that wasn’t already in the condo. The only thing I would suggest is a new mattress and coverlet. It is worn out, not comfortable & loud. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time.
Nice accomodations, clean, great view!
Great place to stay!
