This property is beautiful!!! Huge, spacious, a lovely setting, with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to be very comfortable. Tons of stairs - be prepared for that. We had a “core” group of 9, with adult grandkids for a grand total of 15 for a few days. The statement that it will sleep 12-18 is very true. However, be warned! The property does not have the things you would expect for $900/nite! There were no wastebaskets in the bathrooms. No extra towels – just enough. A “regular” sized Weber grill. NO large pots or pans!!! There was no way to cook for 15 people! When you arrive at 3 pm, you cannot possible prepare a meal. We had a family member that lives in Appleton go home and bring back pots and pans to use!! Then, we loaded up the dishwasher – and no dishwasher soap! Since we had to have dishes for the next morning, we had to go out at 9 pm to buy dishwasher soap; foil, extra paper towels – there was only one roll; toilet paper – one roll and one extra in each bathroom; Kleenex – there were 3 boxes in the whole house; and soap – liquid hand soap only. We called the contact person, and were told “Wi law prohibits leaving soap.” How can a motel provide soap? She did bring wastebaskets and some supplies the next day – but each day was a search for something – bottle openers, grill tools, laundry soap. My family have rented large homes in Michigan and Wisconsin for the past 6 yrs, and this is the first time we have stayed somewhere where what we think of as “basics” were not provided. Either advise that there is nothing there, or provide it!! And for $900/nite – I would think it could be provided. $300 spent at Wal-Mart would make a huge difference! So – yes the place is fabulous – beautiful, spacious and very nice – but be prepared to bring EVERYTHING!!
The pictures don't do this place justice....It is big big big. Great place for a family reunion as we did. During one day we had 35 people at the place and everyone had enough space. The yard is great and the view was unbelievable. This place was also great for swimming if you love jumping off the pier into clear water. Let's talk about the fishing...the locals showed up in the morning because this area was great for small mouth and large northern. We had two boats and I only used the trolling motor to catch big bass every morning and evening. Very quite neighbors and just an all around nice place to stay. Drawbacks might be that it's on the south side of the lake and it's a 15 min. drive to town and ice. Once the word is out every week will be booked because you won't find a nicer/cleaner place to stay. (no pets) Again if you have the time and money you won't be disappointed. Oops...I didn't mention that the golf at Lawsonia is the best in the state...play the woodlands.
