Keywords: Perfectly located charming apartment in a lively area in the center of Rome
My husband and I stayed here for 5 days, in a very charming september. The apartment was everything that is advertised (even more than the photos show), clean, quiet, comfortable, air conditioned, well located. Very convenient central location, close to Termini, villa Borghese, via Veneto and many beautiful walks; the bus and the taxi stand are located very near as well as the subway is about a 10 min. walk. The neighborhood location is a big plus. It was wonderful to be able to get a real 'Italian living' feel, with good places to eat and great local shops (clothing,shoes,grocery) and Francesco and Antonella’s recommendations for restaurants (also ice cream shops and markets) and attractions were great, as well as the airport car pickup service. We would definitely recommend this Rome apartment.
The apartment is nice and newly renovated, it is very hip, and the bed is comfy. It may be perfect for summer, since it is on the ground floor and a bit on the dark side. The neighbourhood is nice, there are a lot of great places to grab a slice of pizza and ice cream. The bus will take you to all the locations you wish to see in 10-15 min. The owners are very nice and forthcoming, they gave us a list with useful tips about getting around that helped us a lot and helped with little issues as well. Great for couples and summer.
While hard to find this apartment on a one-way street, the owners, Francesco and Antonella, drove over to our location guide us in! The apartment is clean, capacious, reasonably quiet and reasonably convenient to central Roman sights: just a few stops from a nearby (1/4 mile) subway stop. We found it fun to stay in a vibrant local neighborhood, with most any kind of practical shop and, importantly, gelato available. Many conveniences in the apartment--washing and dish washing machine, new appliances--but be forewarned: no stove or toaster, We would give this 4.5 stars if this were an option.
My friend & I stayed at a lovely 1-bedroom apartment in the Via Veneto district. It is located in a quiet and residential street within walking distance to Spanish Steps and the Borghese Park. A 10-minute bus ride to the Termini station.
The apartment is clean and spacious with a standard bed and plenty of closet space. The living/dining room is small with a comfortable pull out sofabed that can sleep 2 people. Unfortunately, there wasn't a TV and the ticking clock can be a bit of a nuisance (which I hid in the kitchen cabinet). The kitchen is spacious and includes a compact washing machine. It's a plus when you want to wash the grim off your clothes. The kitchen is well stocked with basic amenities - EVOO, salt, sugar, coffee and houseware products (Moka, pots, pans, plates, glasses, silver ware, et al) for your cooking needs. We liked that they tastefully upgraded the bathroom with a fairly large standing shower. It would be nice to have more shelf space or another side table in the bathroom for our personal hygiene products.
Francesco provided us with login password to connect to WiFi for my iPad - a definite plus when buying museum tickets on-line. Also, he provided a short list of recommendations; restaurants, wine bar, and grocery stores with in a 5-blocks walking distance. We actually checked out a few of his recommendations! Great suggestions! There were mostly locals and a small handful of tourists. Although we didn't get to meet Francesco in person (he and his wife were out of town that weekend), he was always available to discuss. He kept us apprised of any unexpected problems or delays. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice affordable apartment in Rome. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Francesco for a nice Roman experience.
We were lucky to be the first ones to stay in this apartment after it was renovated in April 2011.
The apartment has been renovated to the highest standard and offers new appliances and beautiful modern bathroom. It was very convenient for us, especially as we travelled with two small children.
The owners, Francesco and Antonella, were extremely nice and helpful, and made sure we feel at home.
We highly recommend this apartment as it's very convenient and the owners are great.
Top quality Restaurants, Wine and Food shops few meters from the flat:
- La Sfoglia: superb fresh pasta and ravioli just in front of our door;
- Trimani Enoteca and wine bar: one of the best and oldest wine shops in Rome;
- Micocci: the best cheese shop in Rome;
- De Angelis: probably the best butcher's and delicatessen shop in Rome;
- Gelateria Bartocci and Gelateria dei Gracchi: delicious Ice Cream.
