About Jacqui Post
I'm a native New Orleanian, yet I have traveled the globe. I'm a retired attorney who now works in the real estate industry in my beautiful neighborhood of Uptown. A couple of years ago when my father passed away, my sister and I became responsible for caring for our 90 year old mother. Consequently, I stay at my mother's house in the suburbs much of the time. After having happily traveled using VRBO myself for 20 years, the idea came to me to start using my own home for short term rentals and VOILA'! My own little "cottage industry" (pardon the pun!) was born.
Jacqui Post purchased this House in 2012
Why Jacqui Post chose Carrollton
My house is nestled amongst the beautiful oak trees that have made Uptown New Orleans famous, right across the street from Palmer Park, where you can catch the streetcar and head toward the French Quarter or, if you're in a hurry, there's also a cab stand or the bus stop just across the park. If you want the real feel of living in New Orleans in its most sought-after neighborhood, in a real historic Victorian home, then The Dubliner is for you!
What makes this House unique
I allow dogs (sorry, no cats) and there's a doggie door and a great secure, fenced backyard for them - and you! Definitely plan to spend at least a little time enjoying the gorgeous 12' x 24' back porch; there's an outside seating group to use as a den, or take your dinner outside (after preparing it in my fantastic open, large gourmet kitchen or get it from Robert's grocery down the block, or, heck - take it out if you want from one of the many, many restaurants within walking distance of the house on Carrollton Avenue or Oak Street).
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
New Orleans Home
Great house and location! Just the house for our trip. Really enjoyed the deck and private backyard. Even our two dogs got to enjoy the comfort of home with their doggie door! Our trip was too short, so when we come again I will rent again if it is still available.
This is truly one of our favorite homes we have stayed at through VRBO! It has everything you could possibly need or want and the owner takes great care to make everything comfortable and cozy. Wonderful kitchen and back yard, where we spent most of our time! We cannot wait to go back and will definitely stay there again any chance we get.
Our Third Stay at the Dubliner
This property just gets better every time we stay! We've stayed here three times in the last four years.
The owner continues to improve and update the home.
The owner is a delight to work with and is very responsive to reasonable requests.
This location is very convenient to shopping, dining, transportation and NOLA attractions.
This was a great house for us to stay in! The owner literally has EVERYTHING you could possibly need! Sweet as can be! We will definitely stay again in the future! 5 stars all the way!

Great Location, relaxing and quiet
Location was perfect for getting around the city by public transportation. Being removed from the hustle and bustle allowed us to relax and enjoy the city as a local. Close to the end of the streetcar and bus lines so you can get a seat for the ride to the French Quarter and other attractions. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby.
The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything you need for your stay. We didn't get to use the yard or patio as we were always tired after a day of exploring. However, it was an inviting space. We would gladly return and stay here again.
New Orleans is a city unlike any other. Its historic architecture, history (even haunted history!), the French Quarter, Uptown, Audubon Park, City Park, several famous universities and unique food and cultural have made us famous world-wide. We offer some of the most famous festivals in the world, including Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest and French Quarter Fest, but we celebrate EVERYTHING! There’s a festival honoring someone or something nearly every weekend. But chances are what you’ve heard most about are our food and music and we have plenty of them both all over the city. We have thousands of restaurants, hundreds of music clubs and hundreds more just plain ol’ bars. We love our “cocktails,” which, (did you know?) were invented here! We’re known as “The Big Easy” for good reason: if you can’t relax and have fun here, you may as well stay home!
